Nitrous checklist

Hey guys,

I was hoping to get a little help from some nitrous gurus. I've been researching like a mofo and I think I've narrowed it down to what I want. I want to make sure I do it right, and not cut any corners. I only want to put on a 50 shot so I think the stock fuel system should be sufficient. I should probably get some different plugs too. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

sounds good to me. I had..well still do but not installed..the zex wet shot. For some reason it wasnt working to good for me. i think it was my install..but it felt as if i were running to rich. Plugs yea you should..go one range colder..preferrably NGK or Denso..zex even has there own plugs. I was considering selling my kit. Its brand spanking ass new and only used it those few times in which i was trying to get it to work. I cut you a good deal..pm me if your interested. but anyhow i think your checklist is good bro

Oh, I'll definitely have to see this when it's installed.

I used zex on my EP3 and never had any problems. Make sure you get that bottle heater. Only problems I encountered during install were splicing the fuel line because it had hard plastic in it and tapping the TPS wire.

yup tapping in the fuel line will be a little tricky. And nope there is nothing wrong with ZEX so i dont know why people are going around saying its bad.

you get what you pay for, call a reputable shop and ask them what nitrous kits they install.

Nah you can install it yourself. You just need to have a drill capable of drilling through the thick metal of the trunk to run the line, some good zip ties, and some fuel injection hose and hose clamps. Oh and finally some wire taps and a wire cutter and a multimeter.

Can't think of much more. A towel or two just in case you loose fuel when removing the fuel line. Make sure you open the gas cap disconnect the fuel pump to releive fuel pressure and dry up the fuel line.

nitrous is a waste of money, I wish I could have the almost 2k back and got a turbo kit or something else. Its fun till you have to fill the bottle up every couple days for 32$

You should be able to get about 10-12 full 1/4 mile passes on a 75 shot, and about 14-15 on a 50 shot. So, if you need to fill your bottle every few days...I feel really bad for your car.

Nitrous is a waste of money and I regret it all the time. In retrospect, Hondata would have been a great choice buy!

Make sure you get a Fuel Pressure Safety Switch (FPSS).
Because if the fuel drops for some unknown reason, you will get more N2O than fuel. It shuts the Nitrous off when this happens. Saves your motor.

some people are so dumb, it amazes me they can read and type.

2 grand on a nitrous setup and refilling your bottle in a couple days?

#1 youre dumb enough to pay that much for a kit
#2 youre dumb enough to use it everytime you get in the car
#3 you probably never had nitrous in the first place
#4 you should stfu instead of looking like a complete tool
