OEM Acura RDX Fuel Injectors....

Interesting read for you folks looking to build your engine using more OEM parts than aftermarket. You could modify the stock injectors, but I've seen RSX-S injectors max out at 8,000RPM. I recall reading something in regards to the OEM Si injectors doing something similar.

Cliff notes:
http://www.hondanews.com/CatID3091?m...44320&mime=asc
Quote:
Special high-flow fuel injectors with a wide dynamic range contribute to the RDX's low emissions and high horsepower, and a variable-flow fuel system also contributes to low evaporative emissions. The accuracy of the control of the injector has been increased so that less fuel can be injected during certain situations (such as idle).

The clips are not the same. You'll have to modify the connector on the injector itself and everything will work just fine. You'll need a hacksaw to do the rework.

....I was told that the RDX injector has the potential to outperform a higher cc injector due to better atomization. Then I thought about the RDX acura motor being the first acura turbo motor and the need for a more efficient injector. To my knowledge there has been no back to back dyno with RDX injectors, but I was told there could be a potential 2-3 whp gain just by the injector.

That is certifyable and true due to better atomization, its a finer mist. It gives you the similar effect to moving your injectors BACK up the runners farther like ITB's, which will do the same thing.

They are about $45 an injector at your dealer.

I think I might have to. Considering they apparently flow as much as RC 550's, due to their high atomization, the value is very high. The RC 550's are $95.42 vs. the RDXs at $39-45.

I dont know but something on my mind tells me that our car needs also a reprogrammed ECU to take full advantage of these injectors.

Honestly, I dunno, but I'm really curious as to the potential since the RDX, according to TOV, was apparently intended for higher boost applications (with exception to the ECU). I wouldn't be surprised if they're capable of flowing more fuel than the 650cc's once modified....

Actually, I think I will too. At the moment, they're pretty cheap, but I'm sure once Honda realizes this them *****'ll be twice the price :sadwavey:

You'd be surprised....this inventory is based on all Acura dealers, online or not. Good luck finding them at the price I posted after the inital batch went out of stock. Here's to hoping Honda doesn't catch their pricing mistake. Or hope it wasn't a mistake.

I was curious about this so I checked stock and your right skittles...B/O

This is in Canada but the US is showing lots of stock.Any Canadian dealer can get them in 5-7 days and American dealers shouldn't have any trouble getting them.
