Catch can install gone horribly wrong, did i blow my motor?

Well today i figured i would be productive and install the breather tank i have lying around. I did some research on the proper way to run the hoses to the tank. my plan was to punch the pcv, and run that to the can then run a line from the valve cover to the can as well. I got everything hooked up but didn't have enough hose so i made the mistake of hooking the pcv (now already punched) back to the top of the supercharger instead of running to the tank. made it about 2 miles then when hitting boost the motor shuttered and started pouring out white smoke.
I called a friend and got the proper length hose. so everything is now hooked up correctly, the motor idles fine, AFR is normal but the car still smokes and the motor shutters and starts shooting smoke when i reach around 3krpms.
so did i fry some valves or maybe oil in the supercharger burning up?

Uh oh. Something is screwed up. Why drill the pcv? Just run both lines to the can, I recommend a check valve in the line from the pcv as well

Ran it exactly like the stock JRSC setup, only the pcv was punched (it was meant to be temporary so i could run down the street and grab longer hose). Dont see how it could possibly blow the headgasket, but i can see it sucking more oil than normal into the blower. Ill be tearing down the blower this weekend to check. Car starts right up, no smoke idles fine. Smells like burnt oil, smokes and stutters hard if i try and give it a little boost.

The white smoke is hard to ignore though, definitely seems like a headgasket. ill be doing a compression test this weekend as well to be sure.

Looking through the forums i was under the impression that the valve will not open unless vaccume is applied. which would mean it would remain shut when using a breather tank since the vaccume source on top of the blower would be capped off. Punching the valve solves this issue, a few people have done it.

Turbo Catch Can Discussion
read through this thread. It has a lot of great information in it. There are many ways to deal with the whole catch can/blow-by issue.

sorry it too so long to post the results, i haven't had time to work on the SI the past few months. Anyway i ended up taking the blower off and found a decent amount of oil pooled in the bottom of the manifold, which explained the smoke when hitting boost. Looks like it simply sucked oil right out of the block. I sent the blower to be ported and have the TB inlet bored to 72mm by stiegemeier while it was off and i should have it back tomorrow.

I wouldn't be surprised, but we will see once i get it all back together. Replacing all gaskets, plugs, cleaned the map sensor with electronic parts cleaner. assuming too much oil didn't make it into the cylinders a little seafoam should help clean them up. The coolant and oil drained clean so i guess we will see just how tough these motors are, keeping my fingers crossed at least.

Quick update: compression was fine across the board. Threw the blower back on, replaced the plugs and topped off with fresh gas and shes running beautifully.
