Exclamation Comptech Supercharger covered under Honda Warranty

I just found out today from Honda of Slidell, LA that if a Comptech Supercharger is installed by a Honda service center, the installation will be covered under Honda's Factory warranty!

Please contact your local Honda service center and verify this info. I would like to get this confirmed by a few dealers before I get too excited.

Any shop or dealer should warranty the installation part. You need to get the dealer to put in writing that they will still cover all other parts of the car that could be damaged as a result of them installing the SC for you.

I can't confirm this, but I have heard that particular dealers WILL honor the warranty if they do the install. I have also heard the some dealers install the Comptech SC as a dealer "add-on" as part of, or prior to the sale of, an in-stock vehicle. So, it's all up to the dealer.

If you goto comptechs website and look up dealers, the vast majority of them are Honda/Acura dealerships.... so i would be willing to say its true, but im sure it depends on the dealer.

If this is true, then this will definitely sway my choice over from turbo to supercharger. hmmm...

you guys are hilarious, installing the supercharger at a dealership will be x3 cost wise compared to an aftermarker shop you do realize this?

This is no surprise. Honda/Acura dealers have covered Comptech installations for years.

hey mutant, this is sam (the other NBP coupe at the meet with the body coupe). Maybe when ur ready to get it installed we can both do it and work out a better deal :) I dont mind going to slidell but i know u know people at superior honda so maybe dwayne or jaime will do it too, and their labor rates are lower.

keep me in mind

I've seen a lot of Honda/Acura Dealers here selling cars with Comptech S/C's, and dealers will not usually sell a modded car, especially not FI...I'm gonna contact my local Acura dealer that is a distributor and ask them...

That's good news, but I wouldn't want to pay a grand for the install. My friend and I did the install no problem.

Great kit! Awesome for daily driving.
