Street2uned's AJP dyno sheet:)

Here's what you've all waited so patiently for....

It's a screen shot, but if you look at the top of the screen...you see where it says honda/civic/mike b???? Yeah, I'm Mike B. So let me eliminate any b.s. about whether or not this is my dyno sheet. Ask anyone at AJP, they were all there making this happen. Enjoy

Why the erratic drop around 4300 rpm? Why is the A/F ratio so different between the two runs below 4300 rpm even though the power output is almost identical up to that point?

could be for many reasons...
somtimes it's just the dyno sniffer used that's why it's better to tune using what u see from ur wideband and not what the sniffer says...

or it could be the maf acting up and making the car a lil richer cuz any difference in airflow and it reacts immediately.

4200+ u'll get the AFR going down immediately as vtec kicks in and boost is right there already...

below 4200 is the beauty...that's why u can drive ur car like u normally do cuz ur afr stays like u are NA

So anotherwords, the A/F readings in the graph are junk. Why didn't they connect the wideband output to the dynojet so it could record an accurate measurement?

no they aren't junk...
but u will get fluctuations most times and they are not as accurate as a wideband..
as to why they didn't do what u aked..that i cannot answer...
may not be the doing of AJP but the doing of the independent dyno owner... i don't know...
but the afr is not junk... it just fluctuated sometimes... sometimes read .3 higher or lower.. it's like that with most of them... some of them are even off a lot more.

Those fluctuations look rather erratic to me. I'd consider the measurements junk since they did not come from a wideband. From where did they actually measure the A/F readings?

these measurement are taken from the tailpipe...
they stick a lil tube thingy in there...

How does your car run as a daily driver with your kit on. I ordered everything you have on your car. Some guys over here can't believe I can get 350whp without changing internals or breaking the internals. I also heard that i might get some lag with the 3" exhaust on just easy driving around town on lower rpm's. Are you overall pleased with your car now with all the mods.

I couldn't be happier. It's awesome, feels n/a below boost, boost comes up real quick and it's over...I love it.

Mike...Thanks for posting the PICs. Is that all of the heat shielding and was the heat shielding tube merely used to cover the stock harness? Was the driveshaft heatshield modified or just removed?.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric, i didn't see any modification to the driveshaft at all. The headshielding in the pics is just for the harness. I have heatshielding on my firewall, brake lines and a few other lines that are close to the manifold back there.

Thanks. Let us know what your car does in a 1/4 mile if you take it to the track. Thanks for the pics.

So you had ajp install your badboy? how long was the install process? and around how much would you estimate a shop installing it would cost?

Check out the bottom left side of the sheet, it shows the Max Power the car made and max torque, that was at about 7-7.5psi. Yes, AJP did my install b/c I didn't trust anyone else to do it. They built the kit, they would be the best for the installation. The install process can vary. We took a full 3 days, working past AJP's business hours. Reason being, they couldn't just not take anyone else's business while I was there, but there was always atleast one person with their hands on my Si. We had issues with the first boost controller that was installed. So after troubleshooting and deciding on a different combo, then installing the new combo, we had lost a few hours. They didn't rush anything b/c they knew I had to drive back to Jacksonville and they wanted it to be perfect before I left. They are very proud of their work and it shows with even the smallest things. Ron was very specific about where he wanted a zip tie under the car. Everything has to be done right. Anyways, a random shop may charge anywhere between $1K-$1500, for the install. Especially if they aren't familiar with the car and how to disassemble it and reassemble.
