R18 turbo question.... AJP

Do you guys think that the R18 will only get 220whp with all the stock internals? Or do you think that there is a possibility that it can be turned to almost 300whp?

I'm just decided between that age old questing...trade my ex for an Si.
I really wanna keep my ex 5spdand get the turbo. I was just curious if the MT R18 could push more than 220whp
thanks in advance

i know the feeling. I've been thinking about trading in my ex sedan for the si too. I think eventually the R18 could be up there in those numbers but they are still researching this new engine. I have absolutely no patience so i know how you feel. Maybe AJP will surprise us in the near future.

For me, I think if you are going the way of N/A, then choose the SI, if going for boost, then I would suggest you to keep the R18 and build it.

R18 has lower compression than the SI, lower compression = more boost.

Seriously, if you are planning about turbo, go with the R18.

the R18 does pocess the ability to make 300whp but not at the current moment because of the limitations in regards to engine management
