Who wants AJP to build a RACE HEADER.....?
Just feeling out the market to see who would be interested in a Race Header built by AJP. We are confident that we can create a header that will make between 10-15WHP depending upon other supporting mods. It would most likely Retail Between 1200-1300.00. All will be constructed out of 304 Stainless Steel with slip fit connecters for ease of installation and perfect fitment. The 4-2-1 design will increase HP throught the entire rpm range while the stepped runner design with broaden the torque curve.
Please post your feedback in reference to pricing vs. results. Which we always deliver whenever we release a new product. This is not for you guys who feel that a race header is menat to be 300.00. Quality doesnt come cheap and its quality that we aim to deliver each and everytime. |

Well I admit that you guys do make top notch parts, and I know custom work is always expensive. I'm definitely interested in getting a top notch race header that is guaranteed impressive gains and won't break on me. Though being a budget tuner ahhaha the price range looks a bit high for me.
Probably be about 3-4 months worth of saving up or so. But I'm pretty sure its worth every penny! Just for some people that penny is a little bit harder to get. But I think the price is pretty fair.

That is too much money for a freaking header. Around $500-$650 sounds more convincing. Unless is coated with gold but if the header doesn't have that coat it doesn't justify the price.
A business tip of you begin to put very unjustified high prices to your products your going to end up closing operations pretty soon. |

I feel like 1200-1300 is a little too much for just 10-15whp. However, it's not all about the peak hp. If it gives 15 peak hp, but significantly increases midrange hp it'd be worth it. There's a comparision between a jrrh and a ssr race header on clubrsx and even though the ssr only gained 5whp over the other, it put on an extra 38whp in the midrange. Pretty sweet!

im just wondering everyone here seems to have all this money for mods, why did u buy an si than?
but for the poll 1300 for 10-15 hp vs the market which is dcrh, which gets about the same hp right? and is only 300 dollars... i dont think u have much of a competitive edge in anyway in the market other than "reliability" which in this case you could buy 2 dcrh 600 dollars or so one is bound to work and not break thats 50/50 and still save 600-700 |

If I'm going to save up 1300, at that point, I would just continue to save up and eventually get the Stage II Turbo kit. That's my goal.
A few people have already said this, but I couldn't see myself spending 1200-1300 on a race header. If I were going all motor though, that's a different story. |
