Does the K20Z3 have the exact same rods as the other K20's? I'd like to know if the magic number of 260TQ is the point at which the rods or anything else in the K20Z3 will fail (this is for a turbocharged application).

Is there a suggested upgrade list for the stock internals on the K20Z3 when increasing power (i.e., if upgrading the rods is in fact strongly suggested when you reach 260TQ, what else needs to be changed out if your TQ were to be later bumped up to 275, 300, 325, 350, etc.)?

i just got my new 07 civic si . im wondering if u could anwser this ? for me. i bought an apexi super neo air/ fuel ecu controller for my si and now im wondering if its even compatiable with the i-vtec. ive looked aound and from what i get it is , but when i go to check out the wiring specs theres not a thing that shows up for mine. so my ? is can it be done , if not could u suggest maybe a straight DLC hook up air/ feul controller that would be perfect what im tryin to do. thanks mike

i recently took apart the k24a1 to build and it has some kind of integrated sleeve as well. we are going to be using it along with a type-r head for a boosted 94 integra. we are planning on keeping the motor essentially stock with the turbo kit and kpro.

It is a good idea to put in a new clutch & build the engine a lil' bit before adding a turbo kit, so your engine can work better with the turbo and not be as weak.

Set it Aside, and wait for a kpro equivalent

^ Want more? Put in the pulleys. Want some more? Lighten the flywheel and upgrade the clutch.

K20 can handle a lot. I have seen people run in excess of 500whp before blowing it up.

so basically i can just put in a new/larger fuel pump, bigger injectors, fuel rail, connecting rods, pistons, and then can turbo 20-25psi with no trouble? i would obviously throw in a new clutch and fly wheel.

Basically a rebuilt engine for sleeves, boring for the pistons and low compression rods. Baffled oi pan, modified oil pump, upgrade injectors, fuel pump, fuel return line, fuel rail, larger turbo with piping, front mount, tuning.. Hope you have money!!

i'd say yes to this if u wanted to decrease the life of ur engine by 95%... meaning... these motors can handle a lot of power like that stock but for how long...

AJP made over 600hp+ b4 their motor blew... they were also redlining past 9k...

20-25 psi on these motors will net you way higher than 600hp+ with over 350tq to go along with it... depending on the turbo of course...

i'd say to be really safe these cars 450hp would be the limit to still keep it's reliability... and even that will still cause something to wear out faster...
