Hello and Help on the ZEX nitrous kit.

I am a new user and I do not know much about posting so here I go. Sorry if I am doing it wrong, but I am really looking into installing a ZEX wet Nitrous system in my Civic si. I really need your feedback into knowing who's got one installed and whats the safest shot to run. Can I go with a 75 shot without any problems? I keep hearing people in the street telling me that the car retards ignition automatically, but the ZEX tech line says that to run 75 shot, ignition is to be retard 2 Dergrees and colder plugs installed. Do I need to do fuel pump upgrade? I wish I new all of the scoops. Can anybody shed some light into this matter. Confused and looking for help!!! Thanks

hmmn, do a little search on ZEX kits, a few members have various setups from direct manifold injection to CAI injection. 75 shot should be ok, a upgraded fuel pump would also be a wise idea.

Colder sparks are required.

there's a couple people on here running 75 shots, some even on an EX. I'd wait to get more opinions but I don't think you'll have any problems.

There are several on here running 75 shot on their Si's. I believe that all they had to do was change to colder plugs. The Si's stock ECU can retard ignition sufficiently on it's own.

Do some searching on the site to be sure.

I'm running a 55 on my EX - all I did was get Iridium tipped plugs.

Hoping that someone who has a Zex Part #82021 (Wet System) installed in thier Si and running a 75 shot could tell me the do's and dont's. Once again thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it.

That's the system I have. So far, no problems. Just be sure to solder the TPS wire you get with the kit onto the TPS wire in your car or you'll run into the same problem I did - We spliced the wires and after moving the intake around when I got a new one, it cut the connection and my car was messed up for a day. But then we fixed it and I haven't had a problem since. Solder is the way to go.

I work at Honda, and I don't know too much about working on cars so I had a tech install it. I watched and learned the whole time, though. It took maybe 2-3 hours of actual work.. but we were bullshitting and goofing around for a couple more hours.
