i didnt know that a regulator would work like that without a return line. what if you ran a short fuel line to it and tucked the regulator out the way?

he'll still need to use a return line. its obviously not finished, theres no fitting for the vac reference on the fpr, and the rail needs a plug where a gauge can go. you need a feed and a return line to a fpr.

^^news to me... that I didn't know. I was thinking I could just run the comptech fpr and be ok without a return.

well I found out that I had a HUGE boost leak coming from my greddy downpipe. out of the 6 bolts, 3 were loose, and 1 is completely lost.

that being said, I plan on taking a matching bolt to the nearest Harbor Freight to see if i can find one.

with the addition, hopefully, of mike's boost controller, and everything sealed up, plus the ID1000's, how much boost, safely can I run with those injectors? I wanna turn up my boost to 11psi, but I'm thinking that might be too much.

There are only 5 bolts on the downpipe. That's an exhaust leak not a boost leak. Talk to your tuner before you start cranking up your boost. If you crush your fpr you will have plenty of fuel with those injectors. I know mike is going for crazy boost levels but he has a badas mani and a better turbo. I think the lil greddy snails max effeciency is around 12 psi on this engine.

For example at 20+psi on pump gas with 70psi fuel pressure I'm only at 64ish IDCs. You will be just fine.

I read this entire thread front to back, and noticed no one mentioned anything about aftermarket fuel lines. So I assume the stock fuel lines can withstand ~70psi?

(This thread makes me think the 520cc inj. included w/ the ct-e stg 2 w/ 3.15" pulley, crushed fpr, and stock pump isn't gonna cut it and will lean out - any input?)

I have had the pleasure of driving my car with the ID 1000s for the last few days and they are everything they are built up to be. The drivability is so impressive and the idle is even more impressive. I'm running ~70psi base and the idle is smooth as glass. The part throttle and cruising and throttle tip in are like stock and possibly better. Injector Dynamics provides a sick product.

Ya the stock lines will be able to take that pressure just fine, noone has had a problem with the lines rupturing. Put a walbro in and you will have plenty of fuel for your setup. Us TC are running more boost then you can makde and higher power levels then you will ever see. if you switch to E85 then i recommend adding ID1000's too.

I can't emphise it enough install a walbro, the stock pump won't last long with the added load of larger injectors and and boost.
