Maybe after all these posts, I can finally understand a little bit more about injectors and the fuel system...

Got my ID 1000s today. I must say they are sweet. They have latency values for all fuel pressures from 40psi to 100psi in 5psi increments. They also have the amount of fuel they flow at each psi value. Pretty nice. And they are from this quarter century. Unlike the RC injectors. lol..

LMAO!! I'll be as unbiased as possible. But don't forget my car is basically broken so going to an uncracked manifold, especially Full-Race is going to feel like you are describing. Add to that the ID injectors and my car will fell completely different. So basically, you will get a review like that. lol..

The ID injectors work so well, we have been using them for the past year since they have came onto the market. We used to be RC dealers for several years and sold tons of their injectors (200-300 sets at least). I tuned with the ID's once, and immediately did a large buy-in and started selling them...lol. There is a night and day difference in how well the injectors run compared to RC, Precision, MSD, etc. Its so easy to dial in idle and partial throttle with them, they run within the same a/f ratio tolerance as the OEM injectors. The one big thing that I noticed with the RC injectors is that some sets ran great, some sets did not. It was a hit or miss. There was no adverse effect on the engine life, but some sets could idle as lean as 14.5:1 at idle (750cc and 1000cc's), and some sets had to idle at 12~13:1 range so lean misfiring could not occur. Some sets could cruise at 15~16:1 range partial throttle for economy, and others could not go much leaner than 14~14.5:1 range without lean misfiring occur. It was always frustrating to sell the customer the RCs and not know if the car was going to be able to idle at a normal a/f, and get stellar gas mileage.

If T1 is out of stock, check out the other main dealers. We often times have the injectors in stock if Tony is out. I believe we have at least 1-2 sets on the shelf k-series specific at the moment.

How are you able to setup idle to run at 12-13:1 without the closed loop attempting to move the afr back to 14.7? Also, with the ID injectors. Are the 750CC as good performance and spray pattern wise as the 1000?

Thanks for the insight, seems like I'm slowly making my way to the ID1000's...especially if I'm gonna be getting my car tuned by you like I'm hoping

From T1

Nicholas,
Just wanted to give you a heads up and let you know that I had one more set of injectors so we moved you to the front of the list. They packed and shipped yesterday and you will have them today.

I'm about to be a kid in a candy store!!

Jeff Evans and several other tuners disable the O2 sensors, forcing open loop and tune accordingly. On a previous reply he mentioned he like to tune k motors a fairly lean idle and partial throttle and the motors take to it very well. Resulting in a better gas mileage then stock.

These injectors are amazing.

Yeah, once I get my AEM WBO2 installed, I'll definitely be tuning my car in straight open loop. It's by far the quickest/easiest way to do it. It'd be nice if Hondata would give us the ability to disable closed loop without losing the readings from the sensor.

Eh, mucter to follow up on the previously stated. I'll just give my situation at hand. My car is running at just about 99-100% duty cycle at WOT. (As you know) (520CC Injectors) I drop in the 1000CC ID's what would be an estimation of what duty cycle I would be running at? I know the details are rather vague, but I am just trying to get an estimate of how much larger injectors would alleviate the fuel issue. I'm sure there is much more to the equation with the fuel pump, return less system, etc.

Just trying to get an estimation. Still a newbie in the injector area. Don't kill me for my lack of knowledge!

My setup- fuel return, base fuel pressure of 60psi, 525cc inj, 100% duty cycle around 6-7000 rpm and up, 11 psi.

Before I got it to hold boost, I was at 61% at about 14.5 psi. I'm holding 20 psi now so it will be interesting to see what my duty cycles are. I just got the car back on the road so i'll get some datalogs done.
