NST tuning pulley kit

http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pKitHonCiv.htm

Take the time to read this great power adder onto N/A setup for our k20/r18 engines. I would say especially for r18. I say this because r18 has a great lunch and torque response. With this tuning pulley kit which is 70% lighther than stock components it creates great throttle response and well noticeable gain numbers for the great price. The great additonal power adder. Bang for the bucks!

"The NST Honda Civic pulley kit increases horsepower via great weight reduction and the underdriving of accessories. Superior to other available kits, NST kits also offer an Overdrive Alternator Pulley to optimize output for stereo system lovers!

Each kit is carefully crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum, tested and balanced to high tolerances. Every NST pulley is hard anodized for exceptional durability and is available in a choice of colors: Blue or Graphite Gray. "

Im a auto-x and track driver with my r18 8thgen step out of the corner with great throttle response with this kit will just lunch you out of the corner.

BENEFITS WEIGHT COMPARISONS HONDA R18 NST

Great weight reduction
- Average of 65% - 70% over OEM
Increased horsepower
- Average of 7 - 10 horsepower
Lower ET's & higher trap speeds

- Average of .20s & average of 2MPH -Crank Pulley
OEM 74oz
NST 24oz

-Alternator Pulley
OEM 08oz
NST 03oz

-Water Pump Pulley
OEM 22oz
NST 08oz

I will be installing this kit very soon and will post a DIY installation and power gains number once everything is tuned and installed....

meanwhile any feedback or question with this product... you can reply to this post or pm me for further questions as i am currently working with Mike president of NST tuning. They have great reputation with the product produce by NST very much competitor with high end brands such as AEM, UR pulley.

so we would need to buy all three parts for the full benefits or can you just buy a certain piece? not to knowledgeable on pulleys.

theres only two pieces that are Si specific... what about the last piece?

im pretty sure to the crank. I guess (if this is proven, need dyno!) this would be a good mod, ~$200, same as CAI with similar results.

pricewise it's a good investment. but does it work?

on the crank but is more noticeable towards the torque and response with the throttle... i notice i can get high up to redline faster than before..... wickid response especially for r18 since it already has great throttle/torque response....

yeap it works... my current setup right now on my r18 is FUJITA cai, NST pulley kit, custom 2.5 cat back exhuast no resonator and cat-coverter.... car sounds like a beast even though its not hhahahaha but its great response and pick up speed... i have come close to pulling near by a type-s at the track getting out of the corners.. just that as everyone knows the rsx-s will have higher rpm therefore more pick up.. hahahahha im almost there.....

did you get the Alternator pulley as well? or just the crank?
must rev fast when you have CAI + pulley :)

i guess it helps out with the DBW lag as well =/

yeah i got the whole kit with the alternator.. so i got the crank, alternator and lite water pump.... its best to get the whole kit b/c it works all together.. with all these upgraded pulley it actually help lower HP power that goes toward operating alternator and a/c and put the power towards the crank... the product has been r&d.. basically it takes out stress build up on accesories and add more hp onto the crank in doing so without suffering the luxury of everyday driving.....

i'm in the process in making a detail DIY for this project so just stay tuned till i have that posted... if you got the right tool it will be DIY doable.....

Too bad you have all those other parts on your car. I'd like to see actual dyno runs with just the pulley kit installed.

sorry i will doing one very soon with r18... it will be a complete detail and pic DIY.....

this product is great cause it isolate the power taken away from the crank by the accesories and keep it minimize adding more hp to crank... doing so it doesn't sacrifies the accesories its still daily driven... very well made man.. this product was r&d well....

For some reason, everyone keeps explaining how it works instead of how well it works. I know the theory, but I'd like to know if it ACTUALLY works.

How much did the kit run you?
