06 si vs 02-05 rsx intake manifold and throttle body..
Well i currently have an 02 type s and tomororw i may have a 2006 si if everything goes smoothly. Well looking at the intake manifold on the Si it actaully looks smaller so does the throttle body. Now on the inside it could be the same or bigger bore im not sure. but the intake tube is for sure smaller. I wanna figure that all out because down the road i may see if a tpe r intagra intake manifold and throttle body or type s will bolt right up. because there would be some good power being lost right there but i dont know..any info on this yet?

The Si has a cast aluminum intake manifold with a huge 70mm intake duct. It helps out in high rpm power and is mostly the reason the Si sounds so good from the factory. Swapping the intake manifold need not apply. Just go with a Hondata K-series intake manifold gasket to stop heatsoat and your good to go.

I have both cars in my garage as many of you guys know. First of all the itr intake manifold and throttle body are not going to just bolt on. Besides that the si has a electronic throttle body. The itr and type s does not. You maybe be able to make this work but not with out swapping out the entire drive by wire system not to mention the manifold. Its not logical or worth the cost.
