AEM Tru Boost configurating

Alright guys, for those of us that are stock with the AEM Tru boost, i thought what I have discover so far by messing with it.
Installation its not bad at all, pretty simple.

After you install it, hold down the two buttons for 2 sec, then PRG shows up, then hold it down again 2 sec, and you will go into a menu. If you still have the instructions, if not here they are AEM tru boost install instructios

Once you are into the settings...
Press both buttons once and you will skip around to the next setting.
Once you are in the one of the menus, press only one buttons to switch-add (right button) - subtract (right button)
1. Select the Display Units UNI. i got mine set up at PSI
2. Scrable boost SCb im not sure if its doing anything but im just adding and stuff see what happens. I dont have the orange wire grounded...
3. Sensor. SEN. on our set up we use 1.
4. Alarm ALA. I got mine set up at 13.5, if it ever holds it for more than 1 secods at that psi it will stop boosting
5. Wastegate crack pressure gAE. i got mine somewhere around 11.
6. Bar graph full scale FUL set up what you want your electronic bar read up to. i got mine at 18
7. Boost setting A gain at 60
8. Boost setting B gain 64
then press again both buttons to go to run.

Now, to get your settings going like you want to, you MUST turn on your gauge, or else it will only read the stock greddy turbo psi.
To do this you HOLD DOWN the LEFT button ONLY untill it shows you A, B or OFF.

Another feature is, if you HOLD down the right button for 2 sec, shows your highest boost spike, then if you hold it for 4 sec, it clears that record.

Also if you want to just jump into the A-B settings, HOLD DOWN BOTH buttons, for 2 seconds, then RIGHT BUTTON once, then itll take you to A settings, B settings, you can check out where your at or add or subract from the cycle

Now for the settings right now like i said, im at 66 duty and 11.5 on the gastewate crack pressure. i get an initial boost spike around 13 then right away goes down to 12 then after vtec it hangs around 11.5-11

Im not 100% figuring it out, but defenetly by adding pressure, seems to hold boost up, or else you will drop down all the way down to stock greddy PSI.

I wanted to make this thread because theres a few people on this site have this gauge, and like to know what they you guys are setting up your gauge, id like to help out, and get some help to smooth out the gauge.
Any help would be great! It's not the best gauge out there but it can do better than we think!

I'll have to check when I get back to my car. Ive been having boost issues so I'm down to 6.5 LBS... but I keep spiking to 10... scary with such a huge difference.

I need to watch my boost guage when I boost.

The biggest problem I have is my MAF/VAF throwing me into safe mode "limp mode"... I am overloading my MAF from what I gathered.

hmmmm..... and your running such high amounts of boost why? you can set the spring pressure to 1.00 to avoid boost spikes you know, and then turn your gain up.

regardless, the truboost still doesn't hold boost after vtec like the other damn controllers do!! irritating

yea, but if you want to hold it then you raise the SrG, if you just turn up your gain, then you will eventually drop to stock psi

The number you input for spring pressure or wastegate crack pressure is when the wastegate BEGINS to open. You typically want to set up your duty cycle for the desired boost level first while the spring pressure is at 1psi. After you have your duty cycle dialed in, raise the spring pressure 1psi at a time until you get boost spike, then back it down to the previous number. Hope this helps.

I got this info from the AEM FORUMS try to use it

Back from the dead. ;x

I'm trying to figure out how to change the settings in mine. My boost jumps around everywhere and it doesn't seem to be making full boost. It spokes at almost 10 but is usually around 8ish and even still moves around quite a bit. Doesn't seem to be boosting at that much though.
What does the output duty cycle do? (the a and b settings that go from 10%-90%) My A is 42 and B is 34. I just learned how to adjust everything, but not sure where it needs to be.
