the rsx-s oil pump is much more efficient at moving oil throughtout the motor at higher rpms without scavenging air into the system. thats why its being used

that is true, i was trying to think of a more detail explaination, but i guess that will do. In addition, the oil pan will be replaced with a Hy-tech pan, which uses various passageways to maintain oil levels while the vehicle makes hard turns. In the normal oil pan the fluid can shift from left to right under very harsh condition, and if you're pushing the vehicle hard you will eventually kill your engine. This piece will be a must for anyone looking to go time attack their vehicle with a modified engine.

Once again , i'll have pics of that piece in a couple weeks

Thanks for droppin that note F.I.A.T

The question of the day. How much to make me a header like that? Doesn't have to be SS. Steel would be just fine. I would prefer to have them coated anyways.

the Hy-Tech header sets usually sell for around the 1300.00 range. as far as the baffled pan , thats a great mod for a road course minded car. the baffles with the trap doors help to keep oil surrounding the sump.

Well it seems someone has already posted the results of this build.
I still plan on posting some video and some more pics of the final parts and what not. Sorry for the delay, just been really busy post SEMA.

Is the TSX throttle body really worth it? It's only a 4mm difference from stock, so I was just curious.

On stock internals and minimal mods, probably not. If you're going for the full buildup, then that's a different story.

Well i have a little bit of entertainment for you guys. For those with fast connections, here is a quick little summary of our dyno runs. Unfortunately my digital camera doesnt adjust well to different lights, so you can read the dyno but you can see whats going on. and i put the numbers next to each clip. Enjoy. Ill pick up the final disc of pics tommorow so you guys can see all the parts and the final making of the engine. NOTE: THIS ENGINE ORIGINALLY MAD ABOUT 210hp on this very same dyno

Load in vid: Load In Video
pics:

First Run (we realize our ECU is a preproduction, non programmable version, btw it makes about 19 more hp than the normal one so if anyone wants to trade ECUs for some clean HP, let me know) We hit 245hp on this run, not optimized in terms of a nice power curve throughout the power band
245hp Run

Near Final Run
255hp Run

unfortunately i wasnt around for the final run, but you guys get the idea.

well you actually get 50hp (Final run was 260.8hp). But if you read further back in the thread, these are power gains using parts for an rsx. In actuallity, the parts will be modified to work better with the K20z3 head, and we should be able to pull 70-80hp. Also, you must take in to account that these are not just peak gains, you gain just about 30hp over the entire power band above about 2500rpms. Vs. a turbo would only boost power over 5-6000 rpms.

that's not true about the turbo...
it depends on the size of the turbo...a properly sized turbo will spool from 2000 rpm or anywhere u punch it from.

and u will have gains even when not under boost or full boost.

anyway....whant bbk is that? rotoroa? any pics?

that's tru but i didn't see the dyno sheet so i didn't see the gains throughout.

what are the plans for this rear brake setup?

is it going to be a rotora kit or some other kit?
is it going to be a pieced together sought of thing?

Its a much larger front rotor, and thats a Rotora Big Brake Kit, we developed it almost a year ago. If you're interested in one shoot howie@mjhsound.com an email. Its a 6-piston

The rear will be a 2-pitson, slightly larger rotor (not significant) but it will be slotted as well. You will lose your ebrake though if you run the rear brake setup as well.

If you want exact sizes please email me sales@mjhsound.com, ill find out for you
