Unfortunately i wont be able to post technical cam info cause it will be proprietary to the manufacturer, Hy-tech Exhaust. Now based on the products they current offer, and anythign we develop for it, I will be able to tell you the combinations of parts that work best on the motors.
For instance, we will start with a Spec 1 Intake and Exhaust Cam set from Hy-tech and from there we will proceed to tune and possibly interchange Cams from the Spec 2 or Spec 3 sets that are available. Once we find the optimum Cam combination for our setup we will let you know the models and show you some pictures, that is about as detailed as I will be able to get.

It appears the body of the car will arrive thursday morning, so hopefully we have the engine running in the car by monday morning.

please post pics once you get a chance when you get the body back. so once you get the car running, how long are you hoping it will take you to tune it and get some dyno numbers?

Well im hoping the car is all tuned by monday, but We'll be out at SEMA so im afraid we wont have stuff on the forums till that next weekend.

The stock Civic Si throttle body is 60mm
also, only 2006+ TSX has the larger throttle body.

Side note: Our head work is done by Larry Whindmer at Endyn.

How much larger is the TSX TB??
Also how much work is needed to bolt the TSX TB to the SI intake?

There is no work needed to bolt it on other than tuning by Hondata to utilize the new air flow. Now will the intake still hook up? Hmm, havent tried yet, im sure we'll find out tommorow when the engine starts to go back in the car. Sorry for the delay on the pics.

I guess ill shoot out JUST ONE teaser pic of the body concept to past the time (please keep responses to a minimum though, dont want the thread getting to long, keep in mind its a concept, and the wider fenders are not depicted). The black on the car is Nero Tenebre with a custom red flake , while the red is Rosso Siviglia. Both are Lamborghini paints.

I don't buy it. Buying high-strength internals that everyone here knows are overkill for a NA setup AND leaving the Garrett Turbochargers decals and intercooler in the concept paint/graphics artwork? I have $5 US that says this is a trick and the thing's gonna end up boosted and pushing 400+ hp.

Any takers?

Not to drag the TB question out.Just curious on the mm size of the TSX TB and being bigger was there a need to widen the plenum of the intake to match the bigger TB or was it a good match already since you said it was a direct bolt on?

Well as the engine reached final assembly we found that the pistons we got did not have deep enough "seats", so we could not adjust the cams to the exact angles we initially wanted because they would not have proper clearance for full rotation. (yea, thats kinda vague, but basically we are going to mis out on some mid-range power we expected).
We still hope to obtain around 260whp or so when all is said and done with tuning, but its still gonna be power further up the band.
Perhaps next year we'll pull the motor out again and have some pistons made specifically for the K20z3 motor. Im going to try to get some pictures downloaded tommorow to show some more detail of what im talking about, and to show the parts in general (new header that will be available, exhaust, and internals).

As mentioned before, we'll be out at SEMA with other projects while Hondata is tuning, so dont expect dyno results or any pictures from tuning until 2nd week of november. Thanks alot for your patience.

Is it a direct fit?

it is a direct fit. for the Throttle body.

In anycase, the engine is back in the car, right now we're just finishing up the header build and exhaust build. I have some preliminary prototype pics of that, this is definitly gonna be the exhaust setup of choice for any Si owner.
I have a few shots of the engine in the car. I will have pic of all the parts used inside the engine on nov. 5th. Thanks for your patience.

Also, we are using an Rsx-s oil pump. Why? I forgot, but i'll ask the techs to find out for you.

Please note:
Prototype header will be finalized tommorow, the prototype is removed and single pipes are bent in a mandrel fashsion to mimic the design of the prototype for the best air flow possible, and the least amount of welds. Finalized pics of the exhaust and header will also be posted on Nov. 5th.
