A friend of mine told me this certain company was looking for an 06 si to do a turbo kit on. So I called them up and sure enough they are in desperate need for an si to fab a kit up for sema for turbonetics.. Supposedly turbonetics has their own car, but they just need the turbo kit to be fabbed. We will see what happens, I still dont have full details yet, but they said they will return my call ASAP.. So im crossing my fingers and hopefully this shit goes through..

So I just got off the phone with them. They said they need the car for a week to do the turbokit, but I wouldnt be getting the turbo kit till maybe nov, since they have to produce it first and then I get it..

She said either way we'll compensate you nicely, either with the turbo kit or some other free parts and labor...

If I can find a ride, then Ill definately leave it there and in nov Ill be riding with a nice turbonetics kit + some upgrades since its pretty far away...

lol sounds like a scam to me but if your friend told you about a company u know nothing about and you're 100% positive the company is legit and all that then go for it

yea Im definately not trusting my car to anyone, tommorrow my friend is gunna get in contact with some people in turbonetics and see if this is the real deal.. If it is, then I decided that yea, im definately gunna go with it, but we'll see what turbonetics says tommorrow..

If you do decide to go through with this, then I would suggest having them give you a loaner car. Maybe nothing too crazy, but at least of a set of wheels so that you can get around town while they have your car. The company Superchips does this. If they want your ride for research/dev., they provide you with a loaner. You might want to check this out and see what they can do for you.

Yea definately, Im gunna tell'em I need a ride. It could be a piece of shit, as long as I could drive it and not get stranded and shit... Im gunna wait till tommorrow so that my friend can tell me if they really are being honest, he works @ dynamic turbo and has to deal with turbonetics on a daily basis... If he gives me the green light, then Ill call them up and arrange a meeting and talk about stuff...

If the company is legit, I wouldn't tell 'em shit, let them make the calls unless it puts your car in a position to be damaged and they won't cover the cost.

Ask Sickyute(sp?) if AJP gave him a loaner. Sometimes you can't have your cake and eat it too. Just a thought.

but i didn't even ask for 1.....i knew what i was getting...and it was a lot and i was greatful so didn't even bother to ask for one...

but they did offer 1 :)...it was too small at the time...i had family in town...needed something bigger...so i rented anyway :)

i know where u are doing ur job...the guy is over on fgcoupe and has a thread going about it...it seems legit...however he didn't mention anything about turbonetics in his thread over there...so that sounds a lil fishy...

ATleast they offered you one. But I just went over to fgcoupe, never been there before, but I found the thread that you are talking about. It is a different company altogether, the guys im talking about are in broward.
