honda/hondata flash upgrade: review

keep in mind i've had the hondata reflash with all supporting mods except a race header...so my experience may differ from yours.
went with hondata cuz i knew trying it at dealer(Rick Case) would have more than likely erased my hondata reflash.
sent ECM out monday
got it back early wednesday afternoon and installed

i'll keep it simple.

PROS:
1. first gear hesitation is gone...can't speak for morning starts yet...but the hesitation u get when applying throttle is gone in 1st rear as well as in any other gear...bucking is gone as far as i can tell...will know tomorrow for sure.
2. better throttle response in all gears at any RPM...
3. smoother through all shifts, acceleration, deceleration, low rpms....smoother overall.
4. it did what it had to...to an extent.

CONS:
1. It's not perfect...the hang is still there. It's just not as long or as pronounced as it once was.
2. to elaborate on the above...the hang is basically gone below 3500 RPM where throttle reaction is instantaneous....u'll think u had a regular mechanical throttle system. Above 3500, maybe 4000 the hang is there slightly...it's enough to notice but it's not nearly as long as it was before. When driving aggressively going through the motions u'll notice it...no big deal though, it goes away extremely quick compared to what it was before.
So it is not perfect but significantly improved..

In all actuality, the car definitely feels different and is a lot easier to drive slow or in the low RPMs...u don't really have to adjust to the hang etc etc...after getting used to what the car was like before, i won't go as far as saying it feels like a brand new car, cuz it doesn't, it has just improved some.

PS: Hondata Said: "We have tested the new program on out two 06 Civics and it is a definite improvement."
improvement being the key word...it's not perfect :)
