Guys its a JRSC on a K20Z3 (si motor) There will be a lot of performance goodies already available since the bolt-on design of the block and head are the same as the RSX-S, and all other K series. So headers will come out quick, exhausts will be out asap, etc.

yeah im sure the header will be a direct bolt on depending on clearance issues with the front sway bar. Highly doubt the sc will be available due to the tb issues unless the rsx type s has the same i apoligize in advance my honda knowledge is limited as i am more into other imports..

are a majority of manufacturers going to make kits and bolt-ons Si specific? or am I going to be able to find something that I can use for my 1.8L?

That's damn sexy. I love white Si's, and the fact that he blacked out the emblems and grille makes it look so sweet!

Im guessing this is going to be around 2,500. So why spend 2,500 on a SC when you can spend a little bit more and get a TC with more performance gains. Sorry im a newb

Some prefer the S/C over the T/C because the S/C will put down power right away vs waiting for the turbo to spool. Both applications yield great power. The S/C would be a bit more practical for daily driven cars IMO.

In addition to what FunkNasty has mentioned, while I do agree with him, lag isn't always a big issue for people. Depending on turbo size and efficiency of the entire system, it can be dialed down to a minimum (never completely erradicated, even with VW/Audi's Direct Injection System). I think cost and efficiency is a big part of why a S/C is more practical than T/C for daily driving for most people (people who won't really take the car to the track or the strip, but sometimes will drive it moderately hard on the street). For example, Comptech's S/C kit will probably be closer to $3K, including the EMS. The T/C will be around $4K. Then you'll need to factor in an EMS ($700 give or take), a fuel management system (depending on what you're looking for and what you're looking to do anywhere from $1K-$2.5K), plus the possibility of an intercooler system (which you could also need with an S/C boosting over 9psi, however it's pretty much a necessity with a turbo), plus tuning (again, not ALWAYS with the turbo). And depending on how much you plan on boosting, you'll also need to look into stronger internals. Usually forged pistons will do, but beyond 17psi, you should be looking into rods as well. It can be pretty expensive, however, this isn't always the case with folks. The I/C, like I said, should be a requirement however. You can do a turbo for $2K PLUS the cost of the turbo, at the least.

hmm curious to see what gains this will net. i plan to stay allmotor til I pay mine off, and then looking for FI after, but would rather go SC for the daily driveability, and low end TQ..which is what the k20z3 needs BADLY!

Actually I was reading an import magazine.. I think this might be the one that is a Civic SI but with a 2.4L Supercharged. It only runs 13.5 seconds.. thats why the engine looks that much better than the 2.0 SI
