yeah what did you get.. I looking to get a new camo also - my first DSLR,
Im torn between the D60 and D80.

I like the dust shaking on the D60, and the new VR lenses (Im not sure if these things are enought to make it a better cam, however I like the D80's 11 focus areas and faster autofocus motor, RAW + JPG... ext... I dunno.. the one thing that keeps me fromthe D80 is that is 2 years old.. help me

I've seen people take some pics with non SLRs (just a very good digital camera) and they come out pretty good.

yeah its true, a big part is the composition of the shot too. however the comsurer Digis do not have a wide range of aperture for example, and thus everything is most of the time on the "same plane" as oposed to the introduction of DOF that SLRs are great for

Just stick with Canon. =)

I held a D70 or D80 and tried using it and compared to an Xti it was just annoying to use and felt cheap in my hands. There's an XSi now so that one is probably even better.

I use a 5D myself.
