Matt I think I am going to get the same lugs as you. My dealer said the neo chros are on backorder and I want quality lugs so I'm going to get the gunmetal r40s.

Can't wait!

to any1 & every1 that thinks our trannys & shift linkages are sh!tty please read:

@ work today i drove a MR '04 RSX Type-S lot car as a chase car to help a sales guy deliver a white Altima to his customer in the Eau Gaille / Melbourne area down south... the car has all of 19K miles on it & some UGLY-ASS chrome wheels too (no, it was not an auction car...trade-in LOL!!). the tranny was butter @ first. it was enjoyable being without DBW too. however, on the long haul it started to get a lil notchy & annoying like there was no effort or feeling involved in switching gears... maybe its just the longer throw & the "plasticy" feeling of the linkage that got to me idk. the only REAL postive i give it is that 6th gear is SOOOO much easier to get into w/ this tranny than our Si trannys. i really & truly do hate 6th in our cars sometimes. it has its good days & its bad days.

so then i get back & mess around the rest of the day. Angel shows up bout an hour before my shift's up w/ the Accord to check something w/ Billy & then the Mugen Si to clear a code & we cruised to the backlot so i could fix an addendum sticker in a Pilot over there. we took our new-to-inventory-via-dealer-trade '08 Accord 2DR EX-L V6 Navi 6-speed there. nice clutch, positive feeling in the shifts but GOOOOOOOD LOOOOORD this beast needs a shorter shift knob. i bet the Mugen Si knob would look SIICK in there & shorten the throw like 50% hahaha.

then finally, my day was over & i hopped back into my Si & let it warm up for the drive home & it was just pure & utter JOY all the way home.

in summary, i <3 my Si. you just need a couple moments to drive OTHER 6-speed trannys to really love yours.

that is all.

cliff notes
========
drove a red DC5 to melbourne. didnt like the tranny.
drove a black v6 accord coupe to the backlot w/ Angel. didnt like the tranny or shifter.
drove my Si home & all the love came back to me in an instant.

Mobil gas FTL anyways. Why are you trippin about 10% ethanol anyways?. I was like that also at the SHELL gas station that I ALWAYS go to and asked about the 10% ethanol by volume that they now have and most of 8thgen members told me to not freak out, that it's just 10% and it won't hurt the car as the manual says it's ok for 10% ethanol. Most people on this site use gas that has 10% ethanol by volume anyways. It's totally ok to use it. I think that the CHEVRON down the street doesn't have any ethanol in their gas products. I might check them out. But I haven't had not 1 problem with my car since using 10% ethanol. Whats your reason for mentioning this dislike of ethanol? just curious.

probably either fuel economy reasons or quality of the fuel itself in our likely finicky engines/fuel systems would be my best guess. *shrug* dunno otherwise...
most of ALL the gas stations ive visited within the past 6 months or maybe longer have it stickered on each pump that they contain at least 10% ethanol in their fuel mixtures. i havent noticed much of anything positive or negative resulting from such fuel myself.

Yeah you're totally right man!. They have stickers posted on their pumps that say 10% Ethanol by volume. I always and I mean ALWAYS use the same SHELL gas station AND EVEN the same pump too. And I would always stay with SHELL. If you're going to have 10% ethanol mixture in your car, you might aswell have a top teir gas in your car. Shell gas is great and never have had a problem with using it. The manual says that our cars are ok to run on 10% ethanol. I don't know if the CHEVRON down the street has Ethanol in their gas products but I'ma go look this weekend. I'd hate to stop using SHELL though.

Ding ding ding we have a weiner. LOL

I drive 58 miles roundtrip to work & back 5 days a week so I want to get the max MPG's out of a gallon of petrol. Why should I pay the same stupid price as before & get less MPG's now. Fack the facking cornfuel. I noticed the difference in MPG's the last couple of weeks & now I know why. It's all good though I found a place where they don't sell cornfuel laced petrol.

see now Matt, you've officially made me aware--and therefore, curious--about the myths of ethanol vs. regular gasoline...but the bad news is i havent even SEEN a fill-up station around my usual surroundings that DOESNT have that "at least 10% ethanol" sticker on each of their pumps to even attempt this scenario to compare properly. booo

ive been getting b/t 24 & 26 mpg id say average over the past couple months vaguely stated. & ive been damn good about never even venturing into VTEC range or near it this whole tank thus far. trying my hardest to keep the economy @ the optimal shift-points to ensure best results. its tough tho in heavy traffic & with a bunch of f*cktards on the streets of Orlando any given day @ any given time.

Well, I've ofcourse gotten a bit worse in MPG on my Si since I've been using the Ethanol gas. It's not too noticeable but I may just check out CHEVRON's gas and see if they have no Ethanol in their gas. I've been going on 2 months now with the 10% Ethanol in the Shell gasoline I've been using. I'll try CHEVRON's gas just for shits and giggles.

BP is guaranteed to be under 10% ethanol. At least that is what the pump says at the one I always go to.

you're lucky man... i cant AFFORD either company's ridiculous costs for gas @ Shell (V-Power additive) OR Chevron (Tech-ron additive). seriously...end of story. i just dont have that kinda dough. lol!

i stick to whatever's cheap around town at any given time i need it. RaceTrac, Murphy USA (Wal-Mart's gas company), BP, Hess, whatever else is around...

yeah, I don't think there is 1 gas station in the US thats higher than 10%. Most if not ALL cars cannot run on anything higher than 10% Ethanol cause they'll malfunction.

yup yup, without proper modification (example: E85 or E100) this fuel alternative derived from corn can SEVERELY impair your engine devoid of any hope of "warranty" claims btw... so dont try it.

in order to run E85 or E100 i believe there's a # of steps needed to take...one of which is the upgrade your injector size, another involving something with your catalytic converter (modifying or changing or removing i forget exactly) & the other is actually FINDING a TRUE Ethanol station in your immediate & convenient area...which is an excercise in futility in the current timeframe.

I don't ever wait till my gas light comes on. I always fill up at half tank. Thats why I don't ever see a 40 dollar gas bill at the end. I always tell my GF to NOT do that cause it's bad for the fuel injectors. I don't think it's good for a car to run on fumes.

oh boy im tired... i have all of 1.6 hours to work Saturday. oh joy its gonna cost ME money to get to & from work today. hahahah sucks.

then im off to my buddy Geoff's house to help/watch/hangout & properly prep; then paint his mid-90's green escort DD "murdered out" style satin matte black. the car, the wheels, the badging...the whole nine yards basically. this should DEFINITELY prove to be an entertaining day on record.

& of course, the camera will be along for the hilarity & final results.

R.I.P. Rob & Big on MTV...you will be sorely missed by us all!

yeah ive heard this tale too myself, but ive never run into an issue aside from actually running completely out of gas once or twice with my previous '01 Civic coupe....but never have i had to replace or repair a fuel pump, injectors, or anything related to the fuel system. i regularly get 30ish miles AFTER my gas light illuminates. no trouble yet. hell with my driving lately i squeezed 312 miles out of a full tank in a week & a couple days of "easy does it" commuting. still only eeked out a mere 25mpg but meh, it was cool to crest 300 miles for once in a long time without 100% highway mileage.
