Can any of you guys tell me what my situation needs to be like with my 07 FG2 in order to trade it in for maybe another color FG2?. Where should I stand with my current FG2 in condition or financial stuff in order to trade it in for a RR FG2?.
I owe 21K on it right now and i've had it for 15 months or so. It has 8,800 miles on it. What else....? Last edited by Johnold; 04-27-2008 at 11:10 AM. |

Sh#t if you think you're going to end up upside down on a '08 FG2 then you'll be probably twice as deep in the hole on an AP2. The '08's are probably almost $22k after the desination charge is added. Last edited by 02civicsi; 04-27-2008 at 11:36 AM. |

Touch up paint is not fixing this.
I don't think the magnet coverup will work. They will try to fack you everyway possible because you're trying to trading in a car that they can flip pretty easily & get almost what a new one will cost. When I was shopping for my first Civic back in '98, I was looking for a 2yr old used one. They were only like 2k less than a new one. |

Yeah you're right about them trying to fack me any way they can. Touch up paint will fix that chip but it won't be perfect. I'll get it so it bubbles over and leave it for about 1 month then i'll wetsand it with 1500 to 2000 gritt Sandpaper and then take my buffer to it to bring it back out and it should look pretty decent. I'll see what my feelings are in about another 2500 dollars lower on my car when it's that time. I'll most likely keep it. Just wanted to have some opinions. Knowing how to detail and fix or repair paint chips like I have is a craft worth knowing. We're all at one point or another going to have those type of chips. I mean, mine happen from a lawn crew (supposedly). who's to say that something like that can't simply happen to another 8thgen member or owner?. Shit happens mang.

fingers X'ed!. I'm hoping the end result will be saticfactory. I wouldn't say 99% but maybe like 90 or 95%. You just need to take your time with repairs like this. The hard part is wetsanding but i'll be the most careful at that part of the repair. It's not something you can do in a matter of hours. This will take me almost a whole week to look good. But it will be strong again and will last the lifetime of the car and I won't have to have a magnet on it. LOL.
