Hey guys,

So I have an 07 si with 47,6XX miles on it, and today my arm rest COMPLETELY broke. Everything from the black fabric down broke off, so now everything inside my center console is completely visible. the greyish plastic piece in the back is still attached, but is sprung in the up position, and even if put down, springs back up again. everything else is completely un-attached.

When going in and looking at the design, it was found that the plastic there is really poor in quality, and Honda's design actually has two bolts going right through it!

I get that I'm out of warranty, and any repairs would be made in good faith, but at the same time, do I have a decent enough case to call up Honda and ***** that in no way, shape, or form should an entire arm rest completely break off (the plastic snapped) after 3 years/47,6XX miles?!

I feel totally disappointed in the quality of the interior. Has this happened to anyone else? I was unable to pull up the TSBs because the site they're posted on is down, and when I did a search I didn't see anything. I'm pretty much so just wondering if anyone has gone about this in a way where it has been resolved nicely, because when I called my local dealership about it, they were downright rude to me.

Thanks for any and all help!!

Ok guys so ive read the threads about the bump stops and steering rack problems. not sure if its either. my problem occurs mostly when im crepping along in traffic in a lower gear and sometime while cruising along in a higher gear. when it does it while cruising its more of a consistent knock but not quite as loud. Does this sound like anything anyone has experienced ever? i figure if it was an axle problem it would happen a lot more while the car is in motion and when i turn. and for steering rack i would think id notice more when i turn as well. So idk what it is exactly. I got under it today and looked at the rack. seems to be tight and everything seems to be tight as well as far as suspension, Could it be a bushing ? Any input will be very much appreciated!

EDIT* Theres not knocking while just revving the motor at a stop and it will still pop and knock with the clutch in and/or out of gear (So im ruling the motor and trans out)

Have an 07 si sedan with 26,000 miles. Car is stock. Dealership did an alignment on it last month and ever since the front end of the car vibrates/rattles rather violently at 70+, but is silent below those speeds. Sound comes from the wheel wells and behind the dash. Took it in to the dealership, they stuck it on the lift said its fine, says honda policy wont let them drive the car over 60 mph, so they wont fix whatever problem it is that they caused, and basically told me to f off. The steering wheel doesnt shake or vibrate at all but the noise is unbearbly loud and gets louder the faster I go.

Any ideas?

Hi guys,
I hear a strange clicking noise when I downshift to accelerate. The noise comes from the front end of my car. It only happens when I accelerate. Is it the joint? If so, are they expensive to fix? And how can I prevent it from happening in the near future?

Hey 8th,

So recently I have been getting a terrible smell from my engine bay and have come to the conclusion that it is my clutch. I brought it in to the dealer and they agreed that my clutch was making the smell because it was warn out. I called "bs" because the car has 20,000km on it and I know how to drive a 6-speed so it is not from a driver error this early on into the clutches life.

The dealer ordered the parts and all said and done he said it would be $1500 dollars CDN to replace.

So my questions are this.

1) If he removes the clutch and it isn't a warranty item and I decide not to replace it can they charge me for the time it took to remove it?

2) What could the burning smell be related to? I have absolutely no slipping and haven't noticed the car handling any differently so would it be fine to run the car on this clutch as I figure the only thing that I would be damaging furhter is the clutch itself that needs replacing.

3) $1500!!!! WTF...I figured more like $800-$900. He stated 6 hours for mechanic time. Seems a little high to me. Would I be saving any more by going aftermarket and getting it installed somewhere else?

Thanks guys I really need some help!

If I take it into honda will they be able to just reset? It's the one in the pic. Not the one that says "SIDE AIRBAG".

I brought my car to the shop to have a dent in the exhaust system fixed. The guy cut off a piece and welded a new piece on. While I was there I also did 3 dyno runs to see the power.

After leaving I noticed a weird smell, but figured it was just the welds burning off. I also noticed my gas seemed to be going quickly, but figured that the dyno had used a lot of fuel.

I filled up yesterday and noticed gas is going very quickly! I'm almost through a half tank and don't even have 75 miles on the odometer.

Car seems to be running good, but it's burning way more gas then normal.

Info on car:
- Go Power 3" Exhaust
- Skunk2 Race Header
- CT-E SRI
- HPS Intake Hose
- P2R Throttle Body Spacer
- Hondata IMG
- Hondata Flashpro (e-tunez, rulo)

Tune hasn't been touched lately, and haven't had any issues before this.

I hit a rock about a month ago and had put a huge dent in my exhaust. It also created an exhaust leak at one of the flanges. Even with the exhaust leak and dent I never had any issues with burning more gas then normal or weird smells. But after having the exhaust fixed the issue seemed to appear.

I don't see any smoke coming out of the exhaust or anything. ALl the sensors are hooked up. When standing over the engine I can't notice any weird smells or sounds.

I took a datalog OTW to work today but haven't got a change to upload it yet. Will post it when I get a sec

I hope this is a new thread, my search turned up nothing. About a month ago, I purchased a used 07 EX Coupe. During signing, they offered me a bunch of warrenties. I decided to go with the extended warrenty with the GRIP (tires and rims) warrenty. Sunday, of course during the holiday weekend, I blew my right front tire. After calling my service department, they have no idea what I'm talking about. They are also telling me to buy a new tire and submit a form for reimbersement, which i do not agree with, because if this warrenty doesn't actually exist, then I'm out the cost of the tire and the money I paid for the warrenty itself. I'm waiting to hear from the service department as of right now, but I was wondering if anyone else has and has used this warrenty before. I hope I didn't get scammed. Please help!
