Got a chance to drive a CRZ.

So i got out of my poly sci. class a little early today and i was strolling past the honda dealer and noticed a black CRZ, they had 2 black ones 1 was a EX and 6 speed so i figured id take a little test drive because i wanted to see what these things were all about..

so i acted remotely interested, the dealer guy was kinda looking at me weird because i pulled up in a bright orange Si with a big front mount intercooler and then asked about a hybrid bean car haha.

he said i could test drive it by myself or he could come either would be fine, but he said he hadnt even drove it or rode in it yet so i just thought to myself sure why not this thing is slower than a stock Si there is no way it could be any fun lol.

the car looks pretty nice up close the body lines are smooth the front end is a little bulky and doesnt match the rear end well at all but its a nice looking car, i sat down in the car and i was pretty shocked at how small it is.

basically if your taller than 5'7 and you weigh more than 200 pounds this little bean car is not for you and will be SOOOO uncomfortable.

the 6 speed gear box was pretty smooth it engages nice, but im used to my TWM short shifter and big mean clutch so anything feels smooth to me.

... this next part is what pretty much ruined it for me.

i asked the dealer ( who i somewhat know from going there to get parts all the time) if he would mind that i got on it a little so we took off from a stop light after just leaving the dealer and OMGGGGGG!! these things are STUPIIIDDD slow a stock r18 auto would most likly trample one, it took sooo long to get through 1st and 2nd even with there close final drive.

so basically a guy like me 6 foot 250 pounds this was the most uncomfortable car i have ever been in.. and on top of that it was slower than my sisters toyota yaris automatic.

i mean when you look at the car you say to yourself hmm that looks like it might be sort of quick..

no.. hell no.. not at all i wish i could explain how slow this thing is.

the enterior looks pretty nice... a little to much if you ask me but i looks alright.. the "premium audio system" was junk and sounded horrid. but hey so does the Si.

my si with 460whp(boosted on a precision 6076 turbo) gets 28 mph going 75 on the interstate... this crz gets 34 and you have to beat it to high hell to get up to 75 hahaha.

so basically i hated the car, im sure some will really like it but to me it was awful. why would they build a tiny sporty car just to put a crappy hybrid that makes very little power in it.. big mistake honda HUGH MISTAKE!!

the only good thing i have to say about this car is it rode pretty smooth and it shifted really smooth.

Ron Artest pulled over driving race car

Sometimes it's really hard to dislike Ron Artest. Yeah, there's the whole Pacers-Pistons thing, but then he does a post-game presser like he did after Game 7 of the Finals. And then there are things like this.

Sometimes it's really hard to dislike Ron Artest. Yeah, there's the whole Pacers-Pistons thing, but then he does a post-game presser like he did after Game 7 of the Finals. And then there are things like this.

Artest was pulled over in Los Angeles Monday driving an oversized go-cart called an Eagle Roadster. TMZ obtained a photo of the traffic stop and reports that Artest wasn't cited for driving around in an Indy Car, but because the registration on the car was expired. The weird thing is, the car isn't registered to Artest. It's registered to some guy in Tennessee.

An Eagle Roadster is a custom, two-seater car designed to look like an open-wheel Indy Car. They can do up to 152 MPH and go 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds, all powered by a Chrysler V6. So yeah, it's probably a dangerous car to be zipping around in doing some errands. Good thing for the Lakers, Artest was wearing a helmet.
Been a long run with Honda cars and never had a single issue with one i've owned...i have nothing bad to say about Hondas. However for the first time in a long time I felt the mass difference in Honda performance and "Performance". And now its in my blood =[

For those who have never had the opportunity to drive an EVO before...i highly recommend it. Its just a world of fun.

Hello my 8thcivic Peeps! Well I've been a member on this site since 2007 and enjoy reading this forum. On August 15 I got into an Accident which I don't know how I was able to walk away from it. I was on the freeway (Palmetto, Miami FL) I was going the speed of traffic like around 80 to 85 MPH and a BMW cut me off drastically and I crashed into a wall at that speed. I was with my buddy but thank God nothing happened to us only some minor cuts and scrapes. I took some pictures of my car after the accident but it was too dark and barely visible (1am). However I did take some pictures when I went to the Lot and remove all my personal stuff...My car was declared a total loss and paid what i owed to the bank. I loved this car and I thought I was going to be pissed about it but I was surprised I wasn't! Not even a bit! I was more grateful that I was still around here safe and sound. This was truely life changing and something I wanted to share with ya'll. On Tuesday I'm getting a 2001 EM2 Black, I'm exited because now I'll be debt free and still in the Honda game ! Here's some pictures of my Deceased Si.

Summary

What Edmunds.com says

As we're not very fond of the Smart Fortwo, the 2011 Scion iQ will likely prove to be an interesting alternative.

What's New for 2011

The Scion iQ is all-new for 2011.

2011 Scion iQ Vehicle Overview

Introduction

The 2011 Scion iQ is an urban commuter meant to appeal to the same people who like the pint-sized Smart Fortwo. For the U.S. market, the two-door, four-passenger iQ will be powered by Toyota's 90-horsepower 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine, driving the front wheels through a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Projected EPA city fuel economy will be "in the high 30s," according to Scion.

When it hits these shores in early 2011, the Scion iQ will be one of the smallest cars sold in the States. Measuring just 120 inches long overall, the baby Scion is nearly 4 feet shorter than its boxy stablemate, the Scion xB, although it is still 14 inches longer than the two-passenger Smart.

To downplay the vehicle's ultra-compact dimensions, Toyota is fitting loads of standard safety gear, including stability and traction control, ABS with brake assist, plus 10 airbags, including an industry-first rear-window air curtain. Music lovers should enjoy the standard six-speaker audio system, which comes with USB and auxiliary inputs, as well as steering-wheel controls.

Further details are forthcoming, so check back later for a full review of the new 2011 Scion iQ.

All I gotta say is
