Thanks to this DIY i successfully removed my pinstripe...I didnt have to use heat as i live in Fl and it peeled up pretty easy.. took about 15-20min to do both sides... I used goo gone after that and got both sides done in about an hour..

DIY Thread + trip to store(goo gone) + elbow grease and about an 1 1/2 hours = damn pretty fiji!!!!!! thnks

I removed my painted on pinstripes a couple of weeks ago. Used laquer thinner and did one small (about 6 inches) section at a time. Washed off where the thinner was. When I was done, waxed the car and everything is fine.

HRP looks REALLY good without the black pinstripes!!!!!!

ya just spray the Wd-40 on the left over glue, then with a towel rub the glue off. The wd-40 breaks down the glue, so if you need more, just spray more. Then wash & Enjoy

Removed mine a month after I got the car, it was a hot day and I just grabbed the end and peeled it all off in a parking lot lol. Just used some quick detailer to get the tiny bits of residue off.

I got to looking at the pinstripe to remove it and there are little cuts in the paint everywhere the pinstripe ends. Now I'm not sure if I should take them off because I think those little nicks might be more noticeable. Anyone else have this problem or just me?

I have the same little cuts, I took the risk and I totally forgot about them until I saw your post. You won't notice them at all. My car is FBP and I still never see them.

Not that long..

Most of these posts are old but here my .02 cent goes..

I remvoed my pinstriped but my car was a year old(New car, left over in the lot) and I can see a color difference. I began with a blow dryer and peeled most of it off with ease leaving behind a lot of residue. I came across one section of my car that didn't want to peel off what a PITA. So the residue was so baked on I had to clay bar mine to get it off, but even that didn't work I used too much force and put a lot of swirls into the car using a microfiber towel and quick detail I had to buff out.

I do live in the hot Florida sun so after doing this I was kinda pissed that there is a color difference and that I wasn't gentle enough and left swirls after cleaning with a microfiber towel.

To the guy talknig about he doesnt wan't to wax his car...your suposed to do that every month any way, no it does not remove your clear coat either.

To the guy using a razor blade ....ZOMG NOOOOO

if you peel it you wont even need goo gone.

just wash it afterward and its all done.

you will need goo gone if you use a blow dryer

Yeah. I just got my 09 Si yesterday. I took one side off tonight and it peeled right off with little to no residue.
