I will probably be doing this mod at the same time I do the permanent garage door button. I am driving a Honda Coupe and my little bin on the left side is on the underside of the dash, not the top. Any other suggestions on where to put the screen? No way I can see it down there.

I need to clarify that it's a coupe LX 2006.

You could stick the display in the center bin or lower bin under the radio, or stick it on the dash. It comes with a little mounting bracket.

But, I have found that the key way that you use this device is by listening not looking at it. The beeping is more than enough feedback for how close you are to something. In fact on our Audi and Porsche just beeps when they are in reverse.

Besides if you are backing up, you should be looking back and not at some display.

So I would just stick the head unit out of sight under the dashboard. Hearing it will be just fine.

No, just make sure that you spray paint the color, and not too thick. Mine has a coat of primer, 2 color coats, and 1 coat of clear.

In some states, dealers can sell touch-up paint in spray cans. However what I did was to buy a pint of paint from an automotive paint dealer. All you need is the paint code which is on a sticker in the drivers door jamb.

To apply the paint, I used a reusable spray bottle. These are available at Home Depot under the name "PreVal Spray Gun" and cost about $6. The paint must be mixed in a 50/50 mixture of paint and Paint Reducer (thinner). The reducer is also available from the automotive paint dealer.

First the sensor is primed, then the color coat goes on, lastly a coat of clear coat is applied.

You will spend about $30 for the paint materials.
