I could put it anywhere I want, really. The middle works well. I would argue that putting it in the middle would distribute weight evenly, but you could also argue that passenger weight isn't evenly distributed, so it'd be a moot discussion.

Don't use too much velcro because you may end up with a fluffy trunk liner. Just a little bit at each corner will go a long way.

That is awsome, I do want to smack myself for not thinking about some velcro. I have all of my cleaning supplys in a canvas container and that would work out great.

after being a member for some time now I decided to surf arround the message boards and walla this cool idea was found. Thanks man I gonna do this today. And yes I do feel stupid for not thinking of something so simple. hehe!

I just wanted to remind you all that a little bit of Velcro will do the trick. You can use less than what I showed in the original write-up. If you use too much, you'll end up pulling some of the carpet fuzz up if you move your box around often. If you use too little, there may not be enough adhesive to adhere the Velcro to the box.
