thx, i know where the stand needs to go. but what i meant is where do u place the jack so that when u jack up the car, u can slide in the 2 stands at those 2 spots.
or do u jack it up where the stands go and just share that rubber? |

If you look past the "rubber" area.. you will find the body frame. You can also use that to jack the car. Or share the area if you can find convenient room

Looking nice!
You just need to paint the rest of your pool table to match the red area. No one will have to know. |

[quote=First of all, I used the G2 Brake Caliper Paint Kit. I bought it brand new off of ebay. It was the cheapest place that I could find that sold the paint kit.[/QUOTE]

I would use a brush. I don't have any brush marks on my calipers. The kit has you wait about 15 minutes before you actually start to put the paint on. If you do it too early you'll get paint runs. I put my car on jack stands and did all 4 at the same time. When I finished the 4th I went back around for a second coat.

Check it. From Tirerack...
"NOTE: PaintSystem Sets have a shelf life of six months and must be used between 56-70°F (13-21°C) ambient temperatures. Higher temperatures will cause paint to harden faster than normal. Once the paint and reactor are mixed, there are only 4-6 hours working time. After that, paint left in the can will harden and will not be useable. Do not paint the mating surfaces where the road wheels attach to the brake drums. The wheel’s mounting hub diameter should be measured and masked off on the brake drum prior to painting. Paint requires 2 hours curing time before reinstalling wheels. Do not use the vehicle for 24 hours to allow the paint to fully harden. Plan application accordingly." Did anyone not wait 24 hours after done to drive? Did anyone do it in outside temp higher than 70deg F? It's ******* 90 here, and it ain't gonna be 70, even at night, for a good minute. Thoughts? |

Did mine at about 85, felt like 95 with humidity. About the shelf life being six months I don't know about that. I had a paint set from Folia Tec for about 3 years still in the box never opened and it turned out just fine.
I put my wheels back on after about 2 hours and drove it the next day. Not only did I not want to worry about the paint dripping everywhere but if you drive too soon you'll get road crap in the paint that you won't be able to get out later. The calipers will always look dirty after that, unless you painted them black :) |

I already ordered the same paint kit that you used off of Ebay, as well as the "HONDA" decals from the site you suggested. I was curious, have you had any problems with the decals reacting to the high temps? Mr. Fukuyama from Grafixpressions said that the vinyl is "all seasons rated for 5 years". Just curious as to your personal experience with the decals... Great DIY. Thanks!
