Very cool

Very nice man I must admit that looks sleek as a mug.. I really know nothing about car modification but, is this just for looks or is there some other reasoning behind the tint? I mean wouldn't it kind of block out some light on the sides like your peripheral vision at night?
Just a curious newbie. Don't get me wrong, it really does look sleek and you got the colors like PERFECT. You could have left tape of your car and I wouldn't have even noticed cuz it matches so good. Ok, bored at work off to read more cool stuff and get ideas on how to pimp my ride.

I smoked mine back in April using the same method. I didn't use any clearcoat though. I wash my car at least 3x per week and They look a tad lighter than originally but still dark and the bulbs shine thru. I got the paint from the local hobby shop.
Brand name was Tamiya and the color was smoke....4.99/can

I just finished doing this about a half hour ago. If this washes off i think i may cry because for some reason it took me like 2 hours. If i clearcoat this is it permanent? or Would i be better off buying the laminant stickers? Thanks alot for this DIY i really appreciate it.

Wow, that is cheap. A can of Tamiya in Canada is over $10.

read that ^

but yes they do make a clear coat. But it'll be just as permanent with or without the clear coat

the issue with this... is that it gives it a hazy fog color. and rock chips will cause messup. its a good diy though, but through my experience (and i do vinyl, and spray smoke for hundreds of cars). the spray smoke is better than vinyl in 2 areas... the ability to be DUB dark. and the ability to fit into bends/creases that vinyl wouldnt.

I have tried twice to smoke my tails and my headlights. Both times that I tried, I removed them from the car. When I spray them in nice thin coats or heavy (tried both) I get really bad orange peal. Is it because it is too cold outside? Or something about the paint? I am using spray tint from my local hobbie shop.
