One guy in this thread air-dry his for 24hrs. Turn out great.

Baking them would save you alot of them though. But nothing wrong air-drying them. Just make sure nothing gets the rims dirty while they air-dry.

I'm planning on getting some Si rims and painting them black w/ red lip...

i was wondering if i can use a Hair Dryer instead of baking it? lol sorry if the question sounds retarded. i dont have an oven that would fit a rim =[

alrite....i need some things clear up

when you said "then put three coats of black on them"

Define "coat"

So do i spray the rims black, then wait for the 1st coat to dry to apply the 2nd coat, and so fouth...?

Or do i skip the waiting process. Once i sparyed it all black, Spary them again the 2nd time, then Spray them again for the 3rd time?

thanks

i didnt read the whole thread so im not sure if anyone has mentioned this but instead of painting the lip a lot of people on clubrsx have been using $3 pinstriping from pepboys/autozone/where ever. great diy though and the wheels look awesome. just saying it can be done easier

Hey Whats up? I think the dude that had my rims must of humped a curb because when I got them there was major Road rash on them. Would you say using a grinder would be okay at all? I have another pair of rims I could try them out first on but does anyone have any experience getting major road rash out like that? I would hate to spend like $150 a rim just doing something I could do at home on my free time. PM me or just reply
