well I just used the blow dryer to kinda melt the glue and used the floss the get the "civic" out. it came out pretty easily.

I didn't used alcohol or anything after and it didn't leave any marks at all

Great Guide!
Just did this today and it looks great! I did notice some water beading where it used to be. Cleaned with rubbing alcohol, rinsed and dried, waxed and buffed and it seems to be fine.

There's a 3M glue for emblems that you can get from autozone or other car store. Just ask the clerk. Some thing like this AutoZone.com | Shopping | Accessories | Product Detail - 3M 1 oz. Tube Plastic Emblem and Trim Adhesive

I removed my emblem. It looks great with a very clean look. I just used fishing line and ripped it off with care. Here's a pic for all the TW Coupes who want to do this.

another good thing to do if you do this and use something abrasive to get off the extra residue is to wash and wax afterwards, with extra waxing emphasis put on the area where you took off the emblem, since it can remove layers of wax as well.

As i saw this Post, I knew i had to do it, and so I did. And it completely works... But it wasnt nessceay to use a blow dryer on a warm day. And the cotton balls as well as the Alcohol wasn't use durring this process.

Wash that area with Dawn Dish Detergent or other soap that will strip wax.
Then buff it a little bit, then re-wax over it.

Even if you have some paint fade, you can mask it pretty well...

I just found a red "2.0" emblem off of ebay, snagged it for like $6, and am gonna put that in place of the chrome civic one. red jdm logo, red si logo, red 2.0 logo .... gonna look sick on my nhbp coupe! I'm just hoping that the 2.0 color red is similar.

Very nice!
I didn't know if they glued them or not.
I know on older cars when you removed emblems there were holes left...

Thanks for the DIY..

Ya I just switched from VW to Honda. I wasn't sure either if it was glued.
