I believe the car looks much better without the civic logo. Some people around the city ask me what car is that.
Also, I suggest getting Red tint from grax. to make the bad end look CLEAN. EX. ![]() ![]()

I just did this and there was a lot of residue left over. Alchohol and goo gone haven't really done much. I just put on some more goo gone and I am going to wait a while before seeing if that works. =/ hopefully this stuff comes off.

I want to do this diy but my car is an 06 with 60K miles and in the Florida heat, im sure it'll have some sun burn. I took off my pin stripe and even after goo gone, alcohol, even wet sanding, its still there so I guess I have to leave this on.

honestly, it's like 30 degrees out... my car is basically brand new (1025 miles on it) got it about a month ago. anyway...
backed up to the house, we have an outlet outside, i took a hair dryer on high heat setting, and just waved it over it for about 1 minute, just so it was not freezing cold, just neutral to the touch grabbed a roll of dental floss, and gently worked through the tape... don't "pull" out w/the dental floss, just "saw" up and down parallel to the sheetmetal, took me about 2 minutes tops... worked from the start of civic to the middle, then from the end backwards to the middle... came off... took about 30 seconds to peel the 3m off w/my thumbnail gently, wiped down w/some water (readily available, thanks snow! haha) and a towel, then some cotton balls w/some rubbing alcohol, then some more water to wash off the alcohol, no residue, no "ghosting" of the badge, looks great w/it off. car is TW btw. |
