Well, I'm finally going to install the emblems tomorrow after work (they've been in the house for like a month). I broke and shaved the tabs on the rear emblem and added some extra mounting tape.

My question is....does the front emblem fit perfectly in the grill? Do the tabs fit, or must they be shaved down? I have a FG2.

Thanks

no need to shave the front emblem. the tabs will fit in the area behind the emblem. there's plenty of clearance...and if i were you, i'd put a dab of silicone over each hole in your trunk, which will be exposed after removing your OEM emblem, before you put on the new emblem...

Ok i have FA 2007 civic sedan and i have tried removing the front grill and i was completely successful! I am ready to order to the emblems but before i do, just one question.. For the front emblem is it just a stick on emblem? or is it a whole piece that you must screw in? becuz when i took off the original emblem its a whole piece that you take out (its got tabs and such). its not jsut a flat emblem like the rear emblem. so before i order the wrong things and waste my money i would like to know if its a whole piece or jsut a flat emblem? if it is jsut a flat emblem how would you go on installing it?

I have a Si sedan and I took the old emblem off the hard way. The new red emblem was not a perfect match and I took the two plastic "clips" off the back. Now I hope it stays on! Doohhhh!!

this is the best way, I did it this way and it took me 3 min thanks!!!

Hey, I'm trying to take my OEM emblem off my sedan, and I can't figure out what to do with the white clips on the inside of the trunk to push the emblem out. They look too big to squeeze and push through the back, but won't go the opposite direction either. Something I'm missing?

use a screwdriver to push the side of the emblem. the emblem has double sided tape to hold it on so it will need a little force.

nope, you're not missing anything. the clips are designed to hold the emblem in place. think of a fish hook going in and not wanting to come out. those white tabs are the same way. i used the flat part on the hooked end of a pry bar to push them out. worked well for me...

Thanks folks. I'll give it a try. If I pull from the outside, don't you risk bending/breaking the H?
