Well somehow I lost the little metal piece that the bracket screws into. Anyone know where I can get one for cheap?

Alright so you have to remove the liscence plate to get at the two bolts behind holding the bracket on. Then remove the Two bolts holding on the bracket and place the lisence plate w/ screws off to the side.

Your going to want to cut off the plastic "Humps" to make it look like the picture below. This is where the Dremel will come in handy. You can use tinsnips if your *really* good with them... but the dremel was just that much easier. Be careful to not cut it down too much and hit that hole where the screw goes through, as thats where the bracket is connected to the grille.

Flip it around and re-mount it on the grill.

Heres how it should sit from the side.

i did the same thing to my buddies car. cept it was way lower and all you had to do was drill one hole in the bottom of the grill flip the license plate upside down and then re insert.

Nice DIY. Those pink rims are one of a kind though. But I just got my plates in today I might do that tonight.

I'm so jealous of all you peeps that live in states that front plates are not required. I didn't have one on my previous car and here in NY I would get stopped every 2 seconds for it.

But anyways, i was thinking about doing this mod but i wanted to offset it to the left side and was trying to figure out how to do this by using that stock bracket. Would moving it down and then over and then only using one screw be sturdy enough? Maybe use one screw and zip tie the other? Opinions?

Because I have the HFP kit, I ended up putting the plate in its normal place. My bumper is not drilled, but the plate fit perfectly using just the two screws below the bumper.

The stock bolt was too short for me...so trimmed out like half of my plate holder and its a mess now...and I also zip tied it since it wouldn't work.

Thinkin of using some of this to fill the hole:
FORMULA 27 ALL PURPOSE FILLER - American Marine Supply.com - Quality nautical equipment and accessories for the recreational and commercial boating community.
and then paint over it with Honda touch-up paint to more closely match the color.

Good idea, or no?
