I was wantin to put my license plate back up but didn't realize the bracket was in the back of the car.. when i found that, i got all excited... but then realized it went the opposite way than I wanted it to.. I looked at it and figured I could cut it but was looking at being a little more thorough than I would have had to. I didn't have much time cus this was 11 at night and I had two tests today. But then I got on here and started lookin at the DIY and saw this and was like sweeet, so I used a utility knife to cut the plastic and now my car looks like this :-D thanks for the motivation!

I did this relocation a while back and it's a definite improvement. I like how it's off the bumper and reduces the chances of getting scratches.

i'm pissed i have a hole in the bumper for the stupid plate now..ugh

i'm thinking of what i could possibly do to cover it up or place a sticker or something to hide it after the flip.

I did this 2 days ago! It took me about 15-20 minutes because I couldn't find a Dremel or some mechanical cutting utensil for my plate frame. I ended up using hard labor and a hacksaw blade. Looks great! Here's an after picture. Excuse the blurryness... I was squatting and resting my arms on my knees which couldn't keep still.

All it needs now is an HFP lip and some fog lights and I'd be happy with the front.

so I did this DIY a while ago w/ no problems... then in August a friend of mine backed his brand new 08 Lancer into my car and scratched all up the front bumper. So i get it fixed, and then after about two days i realize the repair shop put the plate where it was before AND drilled the hole in the bumper. grr......

this didnt work on my sedan. there was no way to the plate bracket back far enough for the bolts to reach. i cut away much more plastic than originally shown. i ended up just zip tying it in place. still looks sweet though. good DIY.
