I am in the middle of attempting this for some '04 type S wheels.. if anyone is doing these the dupli-color (silver) paint matches decently but not 100%, although I am not finished with the job yet. I am also trying to do what some others are attempting which is just to make it look pretty good, but not perfect, so my standards are not quite as high as some might be.

I was wondering why you use compound/polish before the clear coat - could you clear coat first and then use compound and polish, or would this not be as effective? And also why every DIY, etc. I have read on this forum and others mentions you need to wait at least a day to put the clear coat on but the back of the Dupli-color paint can says to do it within an hour of the last paint.

Does duplicolor have the paint for the Si rims?
