1 click = unlock driver
2 click = unlock all and trunk

Is that what you wanted to know? Because you are connecting it to a rear door, it will basically open when u use the remote and if you press all doors unlock from the driver/pass side door.

I bought the kit but i havent had time to install it. Still kinda iffy about it all

so, after reading this i get this:
1 click of unlock on the remote will unlock all doors.
2 clicks of unlock will pop trunk
but when using interior controls, the unlock button will not work at all without the key being in the II position. the unlock button (interior) will pop the trunk.

i think that's right...
but, i do not like not being able to use the interior locks without the key, is there a way to get around this?
also, is there a way to get around having the interior unlock pop the trunk?
it doesn't seem necessary as if i am already in the car i can just use the lever.

can the OP make the diy in more detail please? i also would like to know if there are different ways to hook up this system so that the interior locks do not effect the trunk.
only the key fob.

if only we could program a hidden channel in the remote LOL.

This trunk issue is probably the far one of the my biggest disappointments in the civic. The dealer's response to the issue was that the accord has it, like what it needs a V6 to have a power trunk. MY pos ford contour had a power trunk and it was a 98. Ive never owned a car without a power trunk.

I hate honda for this issue, they really need to rethink things.

but i am still looking into this, i have no idea about any of the wiring and i am very confused with original instructions. as i said about amonth ago...
how can i get an LX coupe to unlock both doors with one unlock button-press on the OEM key fob
and how do i get it to pop the trunk with two clicks.

and i new question, can i buy an OEM trunk pop from an EX to use for this?

i have an lx and i've looked into this as well.
from what i can tell the EX trunks have only one more
part than we do so ima just buy that and a new ex key,
install it and see if it works.

Looking for an update

This thread hasn't been updated for a while. Has anyone ever figured out how to configure the OEM LX key fob without a trunk release button so that if you:

Push unlock once -> all four doors unlock
Push unlock twice -> trunk opens (using EX latch)

Is this even possible? A few posters have mentioned doing this, but none have said how.

It's possible for sure, we have done the installation on several cars already.
And actually it's not hard to do and costs not too much. First click on "Unlock"
button to unlock all doors, and the second click within 2 seconds to release
the trunk.

That's cool! How do you configure the remote to do this?

You need to make a circuit by yourself and connect only one wire form door
unlock signal. Mine was roughly made, it's not good enough to post up here.
If you do really want to know the detail, send me a PM.

Only wire to connect from car.

How the installation looks.....
