yeah i got the same things you did. i paid right under 5 bucks. i can hear my intake like crazy now. i can feel heat coming outta the gaps.. for 5 bucks i'm not complaining but i dont know how long this plastic will hold up near the motor. as for water, i drove in the rain yesterday, probably a total of an hour. and i only saw a couple drops under the hood almost near the fenders inside the engine bay. plus if you are drivin, your engine will burn off any water that touches it instantly. im not worried about it. barely any can get down there

right on joey. i doubt that part gets hot. i have yet to check. but i don't see the hinge area heating up terribly. and with the spacers in there is even more flow. one thing you should double check every so often is the bolts. i double checked them and put a little more spin on them. just to make sure they are tight. might go check them again right now.

so i drive to work this morning. takes 5 minutes....2.2 miles. go in to work....and go back out a couple minutes later to get something out of my car. as i am walking to the door, passing in front of the car....i walk through a heat cloud.....i take a couple steps back.....locate the source.....coming out of the hood. seriously.....i could feel the heat 3 feet away radiating out. viola.

well i'm about to test out this whole rain thing.. its pouring outside like crazy and i'm about to do an interstate run for like 50 miles. i'll let you know how it goes. and next time you drive your car.. feel near the hood spacer, the bolts. the hinges.. they get super hot. so hopefully that shit doesnt melt.

but what if your car just sits in the rain like that? will it flow into the engine bay? and get water everywhere?

there was a drop or 2 like 3 inches from my dipstick but any water in there will burn off real quick because of the heat.. my car sat in the pouring rain for probably an hour jackie with it coming down hard and windy as hell. and my engine bay wasnt too bad when i looked after. for less than 5 bucks. i'm satisfied.
