DIY - Installing Corsport Hood Spacers

Even though installation is simple and straight forward, i figured i'd post this just for info if anyone needs it

First, buy your hood spacers from corsport, and post in this thread NEW: 06+ Civic CorSport Aluminum Hood Spacer Bushings

Spacers

Only take the bolts out of one side at a time for obvious reasons. This install can be done by one person as long as you are careful.

you'll probably have to pry the hood away from the bracket because it has black adhesive on it, just use a flathead screwdriver and it wont take much force

one side done

finshed product, enjoy

*EDIT* - You may have to adjust the rubber feet that support the front of the hood to make it even, that is what i had to do but it wasnt the spacers fault, they just weren't adjusted right in the first place for some reason

Wow...I don't get this at all.

It's certainly original and looks different, but you could also do that with a DIY for putting nails in your tires.

supposedly creates a cowl like effect aiding in lower engine bay temps. also good for hard-parking

Nice DIY, I think they look better on older cars... still nice to have such a diverse aftermarket backing for our cars.

it allows air to exit through the top of the hood where hot air accumulates especially during idle at a stop. i suppose this would be more effective if the radiator would only occupy half of the lower air dam, more respectively the passenger side.

My rims should be there today or tomorrow, trying to to decide if I want to do the Vibrant Header w/ HFC, and still have to order the CT-E SC after I re-enlist.

Install at your place right??
