Cheap Ebay exhaust for the skeptics....

Just thought I'd share my exhaust install. I ordered this kit from Ebay for about $135.

The good:
Looks as good as Tsudo or other exhaust systems for my application. All specifications were listed on website and were identical to more expensive systems which surprisingly didn't list as many specs, including weight, metal used, mandrel bends, etc. Install went great, perfect fit except for the muffler wouldn't center perfectly, we had to heat up the hanger and move it slightly.

The bad:
VERY VERY loud. Great sound, but volume was too much with silencer out. Even with silencer in, it was a little too loud for my taste. I had it taken to a local shop and they welded in a 2nd silencer and it sounds perfect. The tip isn't rolled, just a straight edge. Personally, it doesn't bother me, but I know some like the rolled edge alot better.

For a much cheaper price, I found the exhaust to be a great value, and just wanted to share to help those who didn't have the $600-800 to spend for a "quality" system and were thinking of this one. My .02. Thanks!!

2.5" piping, and yes it IS an SI......

its on a k20 you can tell just by where the cat is in pic one the r-18s cat is under the hood.

Nice find. As long as your happy! Now u need the eBay cold air intake for $60. Which work just as well.as the other systems for $300.

Go to Car Accessories, Auto Accessories, Headlights, Tail Lights, Projector Headlights | K2 Motor and they have a few sound clips on there. I'm not big on sound clips because there are so many variables that affect the sound. Camera, etc. That website has sound clips of the exhaust i purchased.

The sound was extremely deep, but the drone was really bad. Even with the silencer in, for me, it was too loud.

I just got mine from K2 Motor.com...So far so good. No exhaust CEL codes, or leaks. I agree, it is kinda loud even with a silencer, but Im young and dont mind lol

there really is no performance gain with this pipe.... the stock piping is the same diameter as what you installed....if i had to guess id say that the stock system flows better that this one..... if you wanted to be loud then you accomplished it... if you wanted performance then you failed. That can on the back is killing your flow....whatever makes you happy though

I do run their CAI on my supercharger... that is a good piece, i can vouch for that

You may be right, or you may be wrong. Honestly, I was just looking for a cheap alternative for decent sound, a "possible" minor gain in hp, and and overall good look to the system. I don't track my car, I drive it as a DD and commute to work 150 miles/day. It's a blast to drive and I love just taking it on the mountain roads and doing some......."spirited" driving. So for my uses, it works perfectly. I'm sure if I was trying to squeeze every hp gain I could and went to the track regularly then I can see buying a "premium" exhaust. All I need now is my suspension package (arrives tomorrow) and I'm good to go.

i was looking at that before i decided i want to go a bit lower.... i have heard nothing but good things about that suspension

I Dont think you're swaying anyones opinion with this ebay exhaust. Lets hope it doesnt rust out after a few months like normal.

LOL.....my intention wasn't to sway anyone's opinion, as I believe everyone can decided for themselves what works best for THEM. This works for ME. I find it funny when there are responses like this when I post something attempting to help and inform others, not sway the popular vote lol. To each his own.

Yep, same here. At the price they are selling it for on Ebay it's an awesome deal.
