the Q300 is not as quiet as people make it to be, but it's not as loud as exhausts it's size.

I think it's pretty damn quiet for a 70mm exhaust. Hell, our car club out here with 5 or 6 Si's, most of which have exhausts, mine is the quietest of them all lol

anyone get in trouble for having no cat with the invidia headers? As in taking it for an oil change or something? Any suggestions to get rid of the drone? I love the exhaust, but man that drone is killer. Makes me wanna go back to stock lol.

I have a vibrant RH no cat. I do get the fuel smell, but it'll be random. My girl hates it though I don't really mind it or notice it unless it is pointed out, but I usually drive with the windows open anyways.

My girlfriend loves the smell of catless exhaust gases.

And honestly I think this is the best sounding exhaust system available for our cars. I get nothing but compliments from it. I also have the invidia race header.

Most of that loudness is from the intake/header.. It sounds louder than the actual exhaust exit.. I prefer to hear more intake than exhaust on Honda engines anyways.. Music to my ears.

I prefer the smell of my gf's cat, so it works out.

In all seriousness though, you can't really call yourself a car guy/girl if you are gonna complain about the smell of a catless exhaust.

Also, very rarely do you smell it. I stand behind my car while its idling and I barely notice a difference. Though, I may be desensitized from going to numerous sports car races over the past 15+ years...

I'm catless right now and I only smell it on cold starts and I have to get out of the car and walk around the entire car to get enough of the smell to notice it.

Maybe you just don't go through as many exhaust as other people?
Compared to any other exhaust of that size it's quieter, or compared to any exhaust in general. If anyone complains about Q300 being too loud, maybe modding isn't for them. Just my 2 cent

Agreed. And like another member said, Q300 with a header sounds about like a G/350 IMO.

The only time catless smells good is with race gas... I would wear that as a cologne haha
