It still won't be completely legal due to the CARB law here in Cali states that you cannot have any cat other than the original OEM cat, or if it was damaged then another new but same OEM cat.

I do not agree with the law, and I would put my money that no one would ever know until smog time anyhow.

I'm all for the dyno as well, if there is 8whp there, I am thinking this is a fantastic option for those that live in California, that don't want to pollute as much as a race header, or that don't want grief for having no cat from the fuzz. IMO...:)
Yes you are correct in that it is not 50 state legal; I posted previously that the cat was 49 state legal b/c of that very reason. However, you could always remove the cat for smog/emissions and pass visual inspection. You would pass emissions output tests, just not visual inspection if they are really analyzing the vehicle.

"Accidentally" buy one of them a Random Technology High Flow Catalytic Converter for a 2006/2007 Honda Civic Si and wrap it and put it under the tree. Then, when they open say "Hey, how did that get under there?"

Or I could "accidentally" put one under the tree for my wife.

Of course with either one of those Ideas I'll be sleeping in my car.

"Working with him?" discounts? cheaper price?

If you want to work with me, I could install this HF cat and get a dyno tomorrow! And you guys know I will too...

I've already got the Comptech header on and am looking for ways to find some more torque. This may be a way to do that.

I just read 8 entire pages of complete crap! This thread is pointless without a comparative dyno, install pics, etc.. Honestly, how could people rant on for 7 pages about pretty much nothing and still have something to say...

kill me now!

I'm ordering the cat tomorrow. If that's too long, anyone else here is welcome to pony up the money for the cat and testing...... Just call Excelerate and order it. Don't let me stop you.

It's called keeping people updated. If it's that bad then don't read it.

yes we do but i believe he got a discount so he can get his car dynod and show us any gains he got from it, so if he couldnt have done right away they shouldnt have gave him a discount.

I do believe you are wrong. $50 is the discount. That doesn't even cover the dyno testing. As I stated earlier, anyone else is welcome to buy one and dyno it, instead of waiting on me. If anyone else had spoken up before last night and said they would buy it and dyno it, then I would have gladly given up my chance to do it and passed the deal on to someone else. By the way the deal was never to have it done "right away"
