DIY: Civic A/C Cabin Air Filter Replacement!

Hey all, I just finished my newest DIY video! This is for our beloved 8th gen Civics so you can change your own cabin A/C filter without having to go to the dealership, saving you time and money! Its super easy to do! I recommend checking your air filter every 6 months and replace it if its dark grey and or full of nastys so you get the cleanest air in your Civic and best airflow

Any questions or comments, feel free to post them here or on Youtube. Thanks!

Great job, Iceman. I like the Drunk Squirrel Productions and the giggle. Now I feel the need to go change my filter. My car is 2 years old.

Nice job. Though I feel that the intro is too long. It's like the video's target audience is teaching blondes how to do this DIY. j/k

I've done two others, the CR-V and 7th gen Accord on my profile and people gripped that they went to fast, so I decided to slow it down this time.

I can't please everyone

HEy thanks for doing this because I would have never thought to change it. Heck, I didn't even realize that our cars had one. I changed it out yesterday and it was nasty.

I'm sure, for being 2 years old. Honda recommends once a year/15,000 miles. I bet your airflow is much better and cleaner smelling now

I haven't gone anywhere in it since I swapped. Maybe later. I'll let ya know. There was a whole dead fly in my filter when I pulled it out. Talk about nasty. That filter was gray.

I bet, check these out.

This was my 3 1/2 year old 04 Accords filter when I changed it. No idea if it ever was replaced. It was nasty, bugs and crap all over.

This was my 05 CR-V. Not sure if it was replaced either, but pretty grey.

See this makes me wonder about my old delsol. Don't know if it had one but when I got it it was 8 years old and had survived 2 volcanic eruptions. 3 years after I bought it, I was still vacuuming ash out of the trunk and out of the seats when I'd have hte A/C on.

Its very likely, though google isn't confirming it.

No, you can get them from handaccessories.com for $15.95. You paid dealership price didn't you? Ouch, I refused to do that. I actually took the price quote from handa and went to my dealership and see if they could meet/beat it, and woulda ya know, he matched it!
