cai or sri

what is the advantage of a sri over a cai? i know it has faster response, but the heat soak does not allow it to make any real power gains. is the sound any different?

all I got was a sound gain.

cai you might get a couple hp but possible risk of hydro-lock

....you kinda can't win either way....lolz

Had the same issue:
Everytime I came to a stop, it would feel like it was going to stall but never does. It didn't stall until the next day on my way home from work while I was in neutral, this happened twice.

Came home, waited until car cooled down and took everything out and made sure everything was tight and secured. Left battery out for 20 mins and let car idle for 15 mins. Took it for a test drive and when I came to a stop, it stopped feeling like it was going to stall but everytime I lightly tap the gas, the RPM goes down to about 400 before it goes up and the car feels like its about to shut down. Have no clue what the hell was going on but I've since put my stock air box back in (btw the box is a bitch to put back in). It's running fine now.

Anybody have any ideas? Oh and I never got any check engine light or CEL come up on both installs.

Little FYI on Fujita shortrams. go get your car dynoed, and then call the coporate HQ and say "I'm not getting what you advertise", because I bet you arn't. And watch a CAI come for no extra charge upon returning your RAM.

yea, it was connected all the way.. Thanks for the help you guys! one of my friend works in honda and i called him up and he said that probably the intake tube thing was too big. so extra air comes in causing it to stall.. so i believed him haha.

civviv,

I think that's the case with me too, but I don't know where this extra air is coming in from since everything was tight on the install. Let me know if you or your friend figures this thing out.

the first time i had this problem was due to my error, i opened the hood and the tube had come off the throttle body. it was a pain to get it on there all the way.
