What are the correct size wrenches to adjust the stiffness? I am guessing a 22mm and a 27mm. Please LMK.

I could be wrong but I'm gonna guess it was rattling so bad b/c of the bolt stripping the threads on install.

I think you will have to get the hole re-tapped and threaded with a slightly larger thread bolt in there.

I installed it tonight and it makes a very nice difference. Much smoother as previously stated. I just took my time and tripple checked everything. Zero Rattling on my install.

I let it idle initially and listened for rattling w/ no A/C and none. Turned on the A/C and still no rattling. Took it out for a test run w/ windows down and no music to listen for any rattles and none. Turned on the A/C while on the test run and still no rattles.

I had a bit of a challenge w/ the engine mount bolt being so close to the lower bracket b/c my socket was rubbing on it and was a little tough to get off of the bolt once it was tightened. Other than that it was a simple install and the directions on here were excellent. Thanks again for the nice DIY.

I used one of the thick washers that came with the kit and one thin one that I had laying around and I have about a half finger gap ... no rubbing. :)

About the post with the washers to give clearence. Can anyone post some pics of these washers and where they are going? Can you buy more of the washers to give more clearance and if so what size? How much distance do you need to prevent the rubbing from happening?

Also, someone made a comment about the vibration and the AC? Does the AC vibration affect the car in the long run or is it just directing all that sound through the chasis and that's all you're hearing. I'd hate to stress the AC here in Arizona because without it...you're "f'ed."

Limiting the amount of engine movement will not effect the A/C compressor. Just make sure the A/C Freon line is not rubbing/touching which could ultimately lead to a leak/hole in it.

I guess that's also what I was asking. How do you make sure they aren't touching? How much distance is needed?

What exactly does this dampner do? I'm really debating whether to get one or not, with all these problems I've been reading?!

Anyone elses damper starting to make a squeaking noise after having it on for a couple of months? Maybe I'll just give it a shot of WD-40.

I had the same issue. Put some washers/spacers on the lower mounting bracket that holds the ac line also and you will be good to go.

You have to modify the damper. The OP has the DIY wrong with his picture final install picture. The proper (according to Ingall's) is nut, bracket, o-ring, damper, washer and finally the bolt.

I installed it the wrong way first and noticed high vibration and noise. However, upon reading this complete thread and looking at the Ingall's instruction to install, I changed the order and the vibration and noise is significantly less.
