I was pretty sure it was the other way longer one in the tranny shorter one in the engine.

I have em its more personal preference but I think that being gears grind more and leave more to deposit that the longer one would benefit.

thats interesting....although ive heard of either way being used.

is there any wrong way?? lol but yeah as stated its mostly personal preference. both ways are beneficial

i kinda just figured that since the oil capacity in the op is more than the trans....and the engine is more prone to metal deposits....that the longer one should be used.

O BTW I had the Skunk2 Oil and Tranny bolts. On the Skunk2 website it states that you should use the big one in the tranny, so I did. About 15,000 miles later I went to do a MTF change and noticed the magnet was gone and started to look into the issue and found that is was too long for the tranny and the gears broke it off. So whatever you do please only use the short one in the tranny. O BTW as a little update I also have no second gear and I know that Honda would not warranty the tranny because of that and well I have a lighten flywheel also.

So about $2300 I am hoping to get my car back today or Monday I will let you all know .

wow i always knew the shorter belongs in the transmission, but i didnt realize that the gears are that close to the bolt!
