Well this intake could be described as an SRI, not CAI...and I've had several sri's before, none of which have made a whistling sounds. The only thing I can think of is the air moving across the modified vanes...

I haven't noticed a whistle with the modified vanes. there was a slight whistle for a while with the throttle body spacer I installed, though. either it went away or I got used to it...

that is perfectly normal... with the stock system that 'whistle' would be muted and not heard.

I am loving mine!!!

Where are you guys getting the mounting bracket from? I know X had said a long while back that you could get it from him for $20 shipped, but know he is producing these intakes for Corsport? Can I get this straight from the manufacturer (Alta performance), and if so, will I have to modify the bracket to fit?

Perrin makes the brackets, right? Can you buy them in onesies/twosies? I was holding out, but it appears as if i'll need to make my own damn X-intake. for shame...

Don't use zipties. PM me I will make you one. I've made a bunch of them and the mounting location is super easy to get to. You don't need to remove the shifter cable like X's. That was retarted.
