installed DIY intake today at the dyno. did a before and after run. it got me 2 more hp up top, that's it. not sure what it got me in the midrange yet. waiting for the file from the dyno so i can graph them together. they only graphed my highest run. also, they could not monitor my afr.

with stock intake(lower piping removed)-194.5
with DIY intake-196.5

other affecting mods- DCRH, skunk2 70mm, hondata reflash, hondata img

i left the intake in for the ride home. i did notice a big difference in engine response from 3k up.

disappointing day.

wow, my friend with a 07 FA5 with my intake and my old ported DCRH did 206WHP on a dynojet, but his car is a factory freak. can you get the AFR from the lower run? just to get an idea?

?? Well that's no good...this may be a stupid question, but did you reset the ECU b/t the stock and DIY intake runs?

cannot get my AFR's. they were not recorded at all. what's the correction factor on the dyno you're referring to?

i thought about this, no, i did not. i didn't have the luxury to make everyone wait 15 mins for my ecu to reset. there were like 25 cars that got on the dyno today...

Then why is it necessary to reset after intake (or any other part)?

his correction smoothing was 5. hes redynoing at the superflow chassis dyno pretty soon, i expect his car to do high 190's

I know, I was just playin. It's just that there seems to be something else wrong here, your intake has consistently shown more gains than that.

i have reason to believe your car is going into closed loop were the ECU is just dumping ALOT of fuel up top killing you top end number. your mid should be good still.

not the smoothing, but the correction factor. ie;STD, DIN, SAE...etc etc.

his uncorrected # is going to be 10whp more than his SAE corrected #. guaranteed.
