how do you like your intake so far. mines great. i need to tweek it a bit more to get it perfect.

Man, I really love the sound this intake makes above 5k! It sounds strait mean!

UM, do you mean tell you how I do it? I wouldn't want to tell you because I'm not a real "tech" because I was asking what the best way to remove an intake was. And this is X's DIY thread. PM me and I will be happy to tell you how.

This is an awsom DIY X! I was just wondering if I did this to my LX would itwork? I know the R18 MAF doesnt have the fins but would I see any gains? Would it work if I got aSi MAF? What would you suggest for this? Any feed back would be great. Thanks X in advance for the help

the R18 uses a completely different MAF that messure airflow differently, i dont think much can be done to make it better than a avalible aftermarket intake.

I've been trying to do DIY for you guys but my attatchments is all messed up or something. It keeps telling me that it's full and will not let me upload any more than 1 picture. That will not cut it for this. I'm preety sure that I describe how to do it in one of my threads somewhere. I can't remember where tho. Actually one of the moderaters said he was gonna merge it to another DIY but never did.

hey X last weekend i moded my MAF housing i hand sanded both vanes top and bottom of them took me about 3-4 hours i gave them a good smoth angle i did the finish sanding with 1000 grit but i know i did it wrong and i plan on getting a new housing to redo but i wanted to know from your experince what do you think my AFR look

ill take pics of how i did it if you like to give you a better understanding of what i did

Cali your dynos look sick, congrats.

If I buy one of these already made by ex, are they each dyno'd to ensure the A/Fs won't be way off on each car? Because that would be hella expensive, but I don't see how you can get around that.
