You all do know he is not the first person to play around with the MAF housing, right? It's funny how when you google "modifying MAF" you get a lot of links with pics and explanation why it works. Here are some links:

LMAO! Your funny. The people can cut out the maf housing and use it as is if they wanted to. They don't need to slant the fins if they don't want to. Unstable? Mines is VERY stable. Let the people decide if they want to or not. They can use this as a reference guide to making their own. Your trying to make money off something that should of been free in the first place. Your just mad someone actually showed people where to start. If you know how to use power tools, you can get it more precise then handsanding my friend. Your homemade handsanding will not be the same. All the intakes you make will never be the same. The only intakes that will be the same is the ones that come out of the factory like Injen, K&N, Fujita, AEM, etc.... It takes someone to bust your bubble before you even try to help people. You should of done this in the first place instead of being money hungry. I'm happy with my intake and its stable. What I did is a step forward in keeping things for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

Agreed. I am not taking sides for anyone, but all I have seen is how the OP modified the vanes in the MAF and an opinion that it works better. There are no AFR, no dyno sheets to substantiate that this is a safe option.

The reason why people are paying for x's intake is because there is some hard evidence that they can understand. Not to say things are are wrong, because there is nothing to suggest otherwise besides a disparaging attitude.

People pay $200 for an Injen stick of aluminum and a filter. Anyone with half a brain could make one if they tried. But obviously these companies are providing a useful product to people that don't trust their mechanical skills.

Why should it be free? The guy came up with an Idea. Just like any of the big companies. Would they post thier specs? I agree that the price was a little high but it shouldn't be free. The guy works hard making those things and he deserves to be paid for his time. I'm not kissing anyones balls but it's only fair. Everyone else gets thier paydays for inventing stuff why shouldn't he? Do you think Hondata is gonna publish thier engine management software when they release it so people can reflash thier own ECU's? Seriously I doubt it. And you just cant cut the vanes as you wish! If you cut them wrong you're gonna have alot of serious problems. If you run lean enough long enough you will melt a piston or worse. Evryone be careful with this.

i am already going to do the DIY so people dont mess up there MAF doing it your way. because your way is wrong and dangerous. all i have done is help the comunity in every way that i can. my numbers hrs of R&D is put into this. and its on going, all you do is try to copy something post it up like your some kind of hero now. i must fix your mistake. the cost in parts alone will be more than what people pay for a 125 dollar MAF housing.. come up with some facts before you come on here talking outta your ass like you know something. were your before and after AFR's or power gains even? my point proven.. i will start the DIY tonight
